Thanks to my gf, both Renee and I didn't have to stay/wait at the airport by ourselves for too long last night. Furthermore, the flight touched down about half an hr earlier(like most of the times) and so, Renee got to see her daddy without having to wait too long(just abt 10-15mins at the arrival hall). Daddy was pleasantly surprised to see us there :)
Back at home, Renee requested to sleep with her daddy and when he left the bedroom, she cried. I reprimanded him that he should just keep her company instead of going to his TV when his girl had missed him so much for the past few days, so he switched the TV off and end up sleeping with her.
This morning, Renee woke up searching for her daddy and calmed down when I told her that he's out for breakfast-perhaps she had thought that her daddy's home-coming was a dream?

Since she likes to complain about being tired when we're reaching home, I told daddy to leave the stroller at the parking bay when he sent her to school this morning. It was a mistake! Sitting on the stroller, she didn't get to 'waste' more energy and so she didn't want to nap at all when she got home, geez!!! She finally napped at about 4:15pm and woke up an hour later, soaked in her perspiration when her daddy came home early from work.
As we needed to go for a follow-up check at the ch physician's, I had to decide whether to shower her first(but that means I have to really rush 'cos I had just started cooking her dinner as we plan to bring it out so that she can dine with us there) Or to shower her after we've got back - that might be too late, esp. to wash her hair and it takes a while to dry longer hair, even with a hairdryer!
So, just nice timing, she complained about back itchiness when I was showering her and so I took the opportunity to tell her that it's due to her long hair and she finally agreed to go for a haircut then and there(surprisingly she can be quite Sampak about her hair, must have it long and will always say 'tmrw' when I asked when I could bring her for a haircut, geez...).
We managed to rush to the kids' hair salon on time after the physician's and finally, Renee's got her 'Dora' haircut hahaha. She was still pretty ok with it at the salon but when she saw the bands that I've made(I took the clips out frm the gymboree hairclips and sewn bands onto each of them) and she started to feel sad and said "cannot tie hair anymore..."
To comfort her, I told her that she can still use her angel wing and rabbit ears hairclips and she said ok.
Earlier at the salon, when I told the hairstylist to cut her hair short, she went "are you sure? her hair's so nice". I replied her that aren't most children's hair that soft and nice? But she said it's not really so, some kids have got coarser hair... Anyway, I told her it's a choice of hygiene/health against beauty. She's perspiring so much everyday and attends the late morning class. So, by the time she gets to shower, it'll be late evening and it's not good to wash hair(let alone a kid's) this late even if it's for 5days a week and she agreed.
But claiming that her hair is nice, she kept asking me to re-confirm if I really want to have it that short(she left her comb at the level for quite a long while hahaha) and I told her not to show me and just go ahead hahaha. And whilst she's cutting her hair, she talked about kids and hair, so I took the opportunity to tell her what I've heard and asked if it's true that if the hair is long, the nutrients we consume/in our body will go to the hair and her answer was an immediate YES!
She went on to tell me that she has this young kid customer(long time regular) whom was quite chubby when younger but over the years and now at primary 4, she's sooooo thin that no one can imagine. Her worried mom brought her to the doc and was advised by the expert the same thing - that all the nutrients had gone to the hair. The doc urged the mother to cut the girl's hair short which the mom was most eager to. Geez, how much price to pay for beauty, and at this age? I really hope my girl won't have this sampak thinking when she grows up man! - beauty is not to be judged by the length of one's hair, kid or adult... if the person can only look good in long hair, then the beauty is questionable already. A beauty will look good in any hairdo :) and for feminity? - it's in one's character &/or behaviour...
These pics should give u an good idea on how short her hair is now - It turned out pretty cuuute actually though we felt it's abit shorter than we've wanted(well, at least now we know the length we'd go for when we bring her for a short haircut in the future):

Not very sure the teacher would said " not nice"..really ar??
oh she was actually running towards the bedroom to place her necklace back on top of her cupboard :)
Looks like she's doing a catwalk? lolz
Aiya, u've just seen her few days ago leh...
Hmmm ya, I was quite skeptical about it also initially but perhaps the teacher was only teasing her about it when they were all commenting about her hair? U know la, children at this age won't be able to explain to us sooo accurately as to what emotions/expressions that took place :)
So, give it a benefit of doubt lor hee hee
