Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Hi all, here comes the looong awaited videos,*drumming* :D.

I have actually put up another blogsite to segregate these videos from this blog, but all those earlier ones mostly showed alot of her face(front) and thus, taking Li's advice, I think I shouldn't put them up. For that reason, you guys will only get to see the recent ones(some only audio), which co-incidentally, were taken between 5-6 months(with many weeks of missed lessons in between of cos, hahaha) after she's started her violin lessons.
Also, this violin is not of fantastic quality and thus, it tend to sound brassy...

Think it's about time for some photos and/or entertainment(I know Li will surely say, "ya lah" but *phew*, she's now holidaying in Shanghai, heee):

Just when we were about to complain about the creativity of the teacher(s), there my girl gets a hand-made windmill from them last Friday, hahaha :

Caught her coming out of the toilet(in group) on the day I had my camera on standby for the pyjamas activity. I tried to hide from her but she still caught sight of me heee:

Recently, she simply loooves to build/'create' things with these ermmm, not sure what its exact description but I named them 'building sticks'(so as to differentiate them from the building blocks) and yesterday, whilst Peixiang was talking to me, she suddenly came to me and said : "mommy, 'E...'" and I thought she was trying to count in mandarin, so I replied : "Er..." to continue for her. Then she said : "no, mommy, it's 'E' and "F', look" and upon looking at her 'creation', then I realised I've mistaken, hahaha:

Audios

It's been a while huh... Ok, here's some for your listening pleasures :)
These will be the 'reply' when u ask her who has 'spoilt' her, hahaha:

I like this - When I told her : "lai, mommy kiss yi xia", to tease me, she'll say :

Only recorded e first phrase of this song, it's supposed to go on... till 'no duck came back'

'Wo Shi Yi Ge Da Ping Guo' - it sounds better when she said e "bie peng wo!" 'stronger' :D

TGIF!

Friday, hurray!
Surprised to see there's still assembly at the school hall today, hmmm.
Brought Renee to Compass Point 'cos I needed to get some stuffs for her and this time round, when I passed by the music school, I decided to go in and check with them if they've got any 'toy violin' lolz. Managed to get a miniature one but they told me to get a real one(S$100+ but would need to order a smaller size for her) instead since the price of the miniature piece is already a quarter of the price... Nevermind, she doesn't know how to play, so better not get a real one and kill our ears with the horrid sound she'd be drawing from the instrument! hahaha.
I was happy for nothing(very short happiness hahaha) when I had thought that I've found a music school so near home but they told me that it is very 'technical' and complex to learn to play the violin and they've learnt from experience that even at the age of 4, most of them aren't able to stay focus enough/grasp the teaching as it's more complicated - so, Renee's age is way out for them hahaha(now they only take in 6 yrs old and above...). Anyway, haven't decided whether to let her go for it or not later, so for fun, I bought the miniature, cute rite?(just a tad small for her) and I got a 20% discount even - hmmm, was it because she made them laughed? lolz:

And here're pics of her 'playing' it :

Here's her 'playing' and singing a birthday song for her grandma(this is the w/out face version hahaha):

Noticed from above attachments that she's holding the violin on the right side? Actually, she had intially held it on the left but I got confused myself(dunno about the instrument lor) when I saw the chin rest and mistaken that it should be held on the right, heee. She later changed it back herself, as if she knew it wasn't correct hahaha.
It was nice of her for not asking for the 'violin' then and there, so I took her to get her sticker album(but think we'll need to get another one, 'cos this one is kinda small) and to 'reward' her, I bought 2 large stickers for her too :)
And... as she didn't wake up early voluntarily(by me actually, when I went to pull her shirt down to cover her tummy lolz), she was abit grouchy and had forgotten about her telling me that she wanted to drink her milk from a straw. So, she had her milk in a bottle this morning lolz. But, she stucked to having it with a straw, for her afternoon and night feeds though :D

Hurray, no school today! I've suggested to daddy if we should take Renee for a ride at the Flyer. So now I've to wait for him to confirm if he could spare some time later...

Meanwhile, here're some audios for you to enjoy:
She simply looove to sing this song these days...(I duno wat e 'zo la la' means, dun ask me lolz)
This is one of the telephone conversations she had with aunty Lili recently:
Her school attendance check(duno why e file is still so large when I've only extracted this short part from e video):

Tuesday

Finally couldn't take it any longer and decided to clear up the 'advertisement sticker' which the locksmith had pasted(again) onto our door bell. Actually, I've earlier put up a 'please press once only' sticker on top of the bell button/socket - hopefully to deter the postman or anyone for that matter from pressing the door bell many times. It is very annoying, esp when u're already trying to rush to the door. This time, I put up an additional one "no door sales please"(this is added to cover up any 'space') and pasted these 2 right on the door bell socket hahahahaha... hopefully these locksmiths will have some sense as to not paste their advertisement again - 'cos just the scraping off of these stickers hurts my nails man...
Took my steamer out today and steamed some rice for renee to take after school and glad I did 'cos she asked for more even after she's finished the 1/2 bowl of rice with vege + codfish(even after she's had her packet of fresh milk on the way back-she complained 1 pkt not enough though hahaha).
For dinner, she had rice again and with vege+pork+codfish. However, she said she's still hungry, and so I went to get her a bowl of soup but she said she wanted to eat my beehoon also!(daddy bought ngor hiang beehoon for our dinner) and even commented that she must finish it all(the bal 1/2, it was too big a pk that I could only finished 1/2)! On top of that, she still went to scoop up more soup from my bowl to her already filled up bowl of soup! Geez, I duno if she's really that hungry or greedy for her fav food or there's worm in her tummy! hahaha.
Not sure if the school's teaching more frm 3rd term(as advised earlier) or was it due to us telling Renee to pay attention to the teacher but it seems like she's picking up more things/songs in the school - I sure hear her singing alot more new songs nowadays since the day she's returned to school. Here's one :
Da Tou
(bad pronounciation, got angry after I tried to teach her a few times and though she got it right thereafter, she didn't sing it right hahaha)
Going for my facial tomorrow and I've requested daddy to go pick Renee from school. Crossing my fingers and hope that daddy will not get any last min agenda 'cos I thought to try out the back body scrub as well and perhaps, if time permits(daddy's expecting me back with dinner so that means I should have ample time), I might try out that salon for my pedicure heee.

Daily Affairs

Sunday

This had been a big laundry day! I've simply lost count on the number of rounds I've put the laundry to the washer(not forgetting the same number of rounds to take them out to hang, so gotta x 2 on the final count).

Ok, let's count - 1stly, it happened to be the usual 'alternate laundry day' for Renee's stuffs but today, with the added load of her bedlinen. Then, I went and took out a few more new pieces of Renee's apparels for washing, so that's round #2, before soaking up our rugs, #3 - the cleaner's here so... Put the rugs to wash when we got home and then it's our own bedlinen(this is with the help of daddy), #5 and finally it was another 2 more rounds, #5 & 6, on the clothes that I've collected from a spree organiser on our way home. And then, it was the soaking up of our bath towels, hand towels, cushion covers, round #7.

I've also ordered another pc of necklace with the Forever21 spree and when Renee saw it, she said this(she had earlier told me that she likes 1 of my necklaces and that she'd like to wear it when she's a 'big jie jie' hahaha) :

And Today

After putting the washing of load #7, I went to iron up the already dried pieces from load #5 & 6! Geez, if only I could collect the clothes earlier, I could have let the cleaner help me with the ironing...

Then, as I was cooking Renee's lunch, daddy told me that he'll need me to go help his client do some stuffs at SK hub, so I rushed through showering Renee and get myself ready whilst she fed herself(ya, I've gotta feed her half way through 'cos she's taking too long). Wasted quite abit of time on daddy's client's stuff and we ended up at Kiddy Palace after our quick lunch at KFC(Renee's very happy!). Bought arm floats, inflatable boat, goggles and a swim suit for Renee! To prevent her from the water chill, I had wanted to get the full body piece but thought she might look nicer in this, so daddychanged his mind. I highlighted to him that it costs more and it's 'bare' but he still preferred it, so...:
Isn't this lovely? Actually, even I couldn't resist it! :D
The inflatable arm-floats(the yellow pair) and boat(in the form of 'car') - had almost ordered some of similar ones from USA online merchants, good thing I didn't... *phew*
It was almost 4pm when we were on our way back and I asked Renee if it's ok for her to drink her milk in a cup when we're home and she said ok. I showed her the 'baby cup'(the one with sprout) and she said she wanna drink from her usual 'jie jie' cup hahaha and she did! I told her that she is to drink the milk the way she would from the milk bottle - that is, no 'stopping'(well of cos she did - for breaths hahaha) and she abided... Hurray!
However, when I asked if we could just let her have all her milk feeds in a cup she said "no, dark dark cannot" - that means she still wants her night milk feed in the bottle haha, well, it's a good start already :)
She's agreed to take her milk from the cup for the morning and afternoon feeds, so I'll just have to wait til tomorrow to see if she keeps to her word or not :D

Audios

Since Renee's started Pre-N, we(more me though...) began to speak mandarin to her more often. She has since able to answer the 'yes, no' to my question. But as usual, kids picked up the no part faster hahaha.
One day, quite some time back, she was on her naughty gear and so I told her : "If you're still so naughty, u'll go stay with uncle gar gar, we don't want naughty girl. U so naughty, bu yao ni" and she went :

Audios

Here's more for our loyal readers' listening pleasures...

She's been watching the American Idol with us(even when she was still in my womb :p). We've stopped for a couple of years when it got alittle bored but we'll usually catch the auditions 'cos that's when the funny parts come about. The contestents on the current one were quite good, thus we're watching it again and wks ago, the day after one episode, she suddenly told me the name of the judges and I decided to record it down, knowing some may wanna hear it :) :
'I luv u...for sentimental reasons'
I teased her recently with this song and she loved it hahaha:

It seems like the school doesn't teach them all the songs in the CD(or perhaps later? cos I only hear her singing a couple of songs from the CD ...). We've both heard/learnt this song from the CD and I personally like it :)
'Walking, Walking'
Daddy like this song which she's learnt from school :)
