A quiet night...and photos!

Daddy's will be slightly late tonight and so Renee wasn't as willing to go to her bed. However, she couldn't hold it for long and at 10pm, she requested to sleep on my lap... I declined and led her to her bed and she asked for her daddy... I patted her for awhile and in about 5mins, she fell asleep...
Ok, here are the pics taken dur our stay at the Palm Resort recently :

Update and...Yes, Video!

Not many stars collected yesterday but Renee had gone to sleep on her bed(with a mild request for her daddy to sleep in) last night and did not come to our bed! Let's hope she could keep this up...
Oh ya, she also 'tried new food' last evening? She's had her bowl of porridge when daddy came back with ours and mine was a pack of yee fu noodles. She saw my noodles and said she wanna eat. For one moment, I still thought she was just teasing me, but recalling there's 'hor fun' in her school menu earlier, perhaps she's really wanting it. So, I fed her a some and she asked for more and I gave her half a bowl, which she finished up as well :D
Feeling the ache badly, I decided not to log in again last night and went to sleep after my reading before 1am. Waking up at only after 8am this morning, I've had a good rest and feeling energetic today, I decided to go to the post office and register mail the vouchers I've got for my friend's wedding(finally received her sms on her address last night!). Went to get some more files/folders from Popular and found a ABC chart for Renee!
When I went to pick Renee up, somehow she seemed to have caught sight of things I've bought(including the ribs, cakes... now u know why am I putting on wgt lah! hehehe) and said : "so much things?" hahaha.
Itchy backside me, despite the backache, I still couldn't resist mopping the floor(what to do, with a wldn't quit smoking daddy leaving cigarette ashes all ard), cleaning up her 'study/play' area, trimmed & put up the chart for her(which she started 'tracing along the alphabets when it was put up)! Hope it won't worsen the condition... Ok, enough words, here's a video to entertain you!
During our trip to Thailand, at Hyatt Hua Hin, trying to get Renee to the sand, I showed her how to twist her feet into the sand and here's the video I've taken(but forgotten to put up) of her at it:

Since daddy's not going out to meet clients again today, I persuaded him to go for lunch together and good thing he went with me to pick Renee, 'cos there were sooooo many cars today! *phew* The Principal even came out to help the guard 'direct' the 'traffic' hahaha, well, at least she's responsible/fast reacting.
As Renee's taking her nap with her papa now, I quickly wrap up the 2 story books that I've got for her and whilst I'm re-arranging her book/artwork shelves and drawer, and amongst the stack of the drawings done by by her recently, I found these few interesting :
Flower

Shapes - the 'eyes' were added on later, lolz
Found this together with the 'under the sea' sticker artwork, so I guess she must have been trying to draw the sea creatures? 'cos I see jellyfish, and 1 looks like 'turtle'? - can u spot that?

I dunno what these represent... gotta ask the 'artist/creator' hahaha

On our way back, we learnt from her that there were quite a number of her friends sick(some were absent) and that reminded me to bring the 'magic ball' to my car - not that it will elimate all germs immediately when she gets into the car but since I've kinda stopped using it at home for a while, it might be of better use in the car :D.
During the drive home, Daddy asked her if she likes it when he came to pick her from school and she gave him a cheeky look and pointed at me, indicating that she'd want me to come along also, so...
Daddy : " oh, so next time I don't want to come pick you already"
Renee : "why?"
Daddy : "Because you don't want me to come pick you"
Renee : "I want you! And I also love mommy"(meaning she also want me to come along hahaha)
~~~~~
Then when daddy was moving off from stationary position when the traffic light turned green, she complained : "why you driving so fast, wait my bread drop how?"
Daddy : "oh ok, I slow down"
Renee : "slow down, yes, ok"
hahahahaha
*Received the school's email this morning - a notice that there will be no class on on the 11 August 2008 (Monday), being National day school holiday.
No more gai gai... II
Renee came to sleep with us sometime in the morning hahaha and was woken up by the telephone conversation daddy had with his brother whilst lying on the bed and that was 8am! Daddy made her milk and when he went off at ard 8:45am for his breakfast, I tried to resume my sleep(which I managed to, for another 15mins or so) with Renee playing beside me.
Then when I woke up at my alarm's beep, I asked Renee if she'd like her bread and as expected, her answer was yes. Whilst I was spreading butter onto her bread, I reminded her : "remember? Renee. U didn't go to bed yourself last night, so daddy said no more gai gai. Ok?" She replied "yes" and then added : "next time when I go to bed myself , then mommy bring me gai gai..."
When I came back from her school, I told daddy about the invitation Vicky's sis had extended - a gathering at their mom's this Sunday. I've told her that we won't be able to join them as we'd be following daddy to the club for the weekend but when I told daddy, he said that we most probably don't have to follow him this week since he may have to go help out in the temple(and I've got the bag/pouches, things always hap this way, don't they? lolz)... Hurray, Renee can go to her granny's then!!! Long time no see her aunties Elsie, Li, PC and Ellen... So, I quickly phoned Eng to inform her that there's no need for her to come this Friday but Sunday as arranged(better for both of us also).
*She'll always say this on our way back from my mom's : "I want my aunties to come my house, aunty Elsie, aunty Lili, aunty PC and aunty ellen..."
No more 'gai gai' after school?
Renee didn't drink her water in school today but she made up for it by drinking up half of it in the car, whilst eating her 2 slices of milk bread. When she finished the 2nd half of it at home, she quickly asked for her stars hahaha.
Since the day we came back from our Thailand trip, Renee's also got into this habit of sleeping on my lap or the cushion on the sofa every night(wasted my earlier efforts), and I'll have to carry her to her bed when she's deep in dreamland. But as I've also been hving this backache for the past few days(which worsened today), so I told her that I won't be able to carry her to bed as usual and asked her to go to her bed to sleep on her own like before and much to my surprise, she readily agreed. And when she asked for bread after her milk, I 'reminded' her about it and her promise that she'll go to bed on her own, without crying and she nodded.
However, this surprise didn't last long 'cos when bed-time finally came, she said she didn't want to and quickly lied down on the sofa cushion. We managed to get her to take her medicine, brush her teeth and pee, but no matter how we persuade her, she just won't relent and go to her bed! Then daddy went on to explain to her about 'keeping promise' and that "if you don't keep to your promise when you asked for bread, mommy will also not keep to her promise of bringing you to go gai gai" but that, still didn't work...
Last straw - I ordered her to go to bed and she went into the room in tears. In the end, I have to carry her, on her bed for a short while to calm her down before I lay her back down to her bed/pillow. She then asked for her daddy to sleep in the room also, which of 'cos didn't happen and not necessary anymore as she fell asleep thereafter hahaha.
When she was in my arms, I took the opportunity to remind her that we won't be going 'gai gai' after school anymore since she didn't keep to her promise and she nodded her consent(not sure if she'll still remember, but I'll make sure to remind her). I then told daddy about it and suggested to him that perhaps we'd buy her 'choice food' on Friday(for dinner), and let her begin her very first 'star reward card' exchange at home(which I feel, might even have a better impact. So, 1 stone hit 2 birds hahaha) and with that, we'll also have to tell her that I'll only resume bringing her to go 'gai gai' when she's learnt to go to bed on her own - daddy fully agreed.
Tuesday...
It was a refreshing change not logging into the internet last night('cos it's already past 12am after the programme on discovery channel and I was sooo slpy that I decided to go read my book instead). Perhaps should try to do so, more often? heee...
Ok, back to the 'star reward programme', I've started it with a 'day calendar' style card and as I went along with it, I found that although it does enhance helping Renee to learn about the day(s) faster but it didn't quite seem to give the kind of effect I wanted(for its original purpose). So, since the learning of day(s) will come eventually in later school and thus, when she's finally achieved her 21st star last evening(yes! not bad liao, since she's not one who would drink so much water and we've only started this on last wednesday afternoon), I decided to change the 'card' to that of just a plain one - so that when the card's got 20 stars, she can use the card to 'exchange' for her favourite food :)
At the school, the Principal seemed to be in a very good mood today 'cos when I brought Renee to the class, I passed by her at the hall, with a group of older children(maybe waiting for their K graduation photo shoot) and she said a big loud 'Hello' to me... Then as I turned to leave, she said hello to me again and even spoke to the kids "children, say hello to Mrs Toh" hahahahaha. The kids were of cos puzzled and they must be wondering "huh, new teacher?" hahaha but one boy, whom had seen/spoke to me once before, said "bye" lolz.
On our way home from school, Renee asked if her daddy's home and when I replied that he might have gone to the doc's, she said : "let's check out daddy's car"(when we were in the carpark). I spotted the car(though at a different lot now) and told Renee I saw it and she went : "Where? I can't see! oh I know, when I go to school, daddy go out. Then, I come back from school, daddy come back also" hahaha.
I had gone over to Eileen's after I've sent Renee to school 'cos I need to pass her the things my niece needed for her stay at the Uni hostel and I've also to pick up the pork and clothes that Elsie had got for Renee. She cooked porridge for lunch and I got to eat a good home-cooked porridge lunch today :). And so, with the extra new clothes(some sweet pyjamas too), I quickly handled the pork when we got home and spent a good 1 1/2 hour just to pack up the worn clothes and clear up the older lot that I've stacked into the big bag in the store(so I can sort them later and pack them into the boxes later). This is another jacket Elsie's got for her(baby doll style) and it's in the exact design of what I've ordered from a US online web merchant earlier!:
Last evening, I phoned the the Korean lady up to check on the status of my request for her to come over on Fridays instead(In fact I've asked her earlier, if it's possible to change it to Fridays permanently as daddy wanted us to follow him to the golf club most of the wkends now. But on Fri, she would only have my home to do, so it's not feasible for her as not near) but she said that she's only able to 'help' on this Friday-she had earlier offered Fridays, I should have taken that offer up then! Anyway, let's just see how things go...
On the above note, if we're really going with daddy to the club this weekend, plus next Saturday when we'd be out celebrating my birthday, that would mean a 4wks of non-visitation to my mom's!!! Oh oh, must make changes liao...
A busy Monday
I woke up this morning with bad PMS - terrible headache & giddiness(guess I'm too weak now...) but I've to send daddy to the clinic for his back therapy(chinese) after dropping Renee off and thus, I didn't get to stay behind to watch the photo-shoot :(
I had earlier asked daddy if he shared the same opinion that Renee looks better with just her fringe clipped/tied up rather than with 2 pony tails(til her fringe is long enough to be tied together). His answer's yes and so I decided to just have her fringe tied up for the class photo-shoot :D.
The physician whom daddy was going for is no longer operating at the clinic and it seemed like the replacement physician didn't do a very good job. He didn't 'operate' and just did the usual 'suction' and acupuncture. Though it did help to relieve some of daddy's pain, it didn't make it go away like the mini operation would/had. So, daddy might have to go all the way back to JB to look for that physician again...
After our lunch, daddy wanted to go back to do some work(in pain) at home so he didn't want to adhere to my request of going to the medical hall with us. He said that he's 'spoon-fed' me enough and I've been there twice already, so I should go on my own this time. I was afraid that I might not remember the route that well(as there are quite some 'split roads' to that place) and he said that it's high time I get myself into 'that kind of situation' to really learn/know how to 'react'... Well, I've been in 'that' situation' once already mah, heee.
Anyway, hving no choice, I took up the challenge and went straight after picking Renee up. And indeed..., I missed a 'split route' and lost my direction :( but quick thinking got me to make a U-turn at the nearest 'correct' junction where I stopped at a bus-stop and phoned daddy... His direction given over the phone was not very clear(mayb it's being directed to a pax who's no sense of routes connection hahaha) but I've to give it a try and luckily, I managed to get back to the original route and made it to the medical hall right on time!
This 'miss' got me abit 'fearful' and when we're done at the medical hall, I phoned daddy up again to double-confirm on the brief note I've keyed into my mobile - luckily I did, 'cos it turned out that I've missed out some points, hahaha. Not sure if I'll still make the same 'mistake' should I need to go there on my own again the next time. I certainly hope Not 'cos it can be pretty stressful with a toddler sitting behind!(good thing Renee didn't fuss) hahaha.
Renee was recovering well with the prescribed herbs but I think she's caught a slight flu 2 days ago and it turned out that it's true! The physician asked if her runny nose only came back recently which was correct and he said that she's got the 'ming gan'(due to her sensitive nose) flu, else she shouldn't be still hving the runny nose - he is right lor, 'cos her runny nose had cleared up already actually, til 2 nights ago. Guess we'll have to be careful with the fan/air-con, especially when it's very cooling at night, over where her bed is...
Daddy came home from his golf game after 3pm with a hurting back - he had bent down to pick up his golf ball and had got up too quickly...
After all 3 of us have had our nap, we went to Tony Romas @ Suntec City as I've mentioned to daddy that Renee seemed to have taken a liking to eating ribs now. However, when we got to the restaurant, she said she only wants to eat her french loaf and baked potato but not the ribs! But, when she's done with her choice food, she still ate up the ribs daddy gave her :)
We walked around for a while after makan(cant walk for too long as daddy's back hurt, besides, we dun have anything to 'go for') and decided to check out the resturant which I've made a table reservation on my birthday as my gf, Vicky's sis went there with her family last year and had a good view of the fireworks.
When daddy went back to the Citroen roadshow(he's interested in the new C5 that comes in 2 & 3l version and the 3l one comes with built-in massager!), I brought Renee to Muji and found some bag organisers(at 50% and at the right size that I've been looking out for) and useful 'travel pouches'. Whilst I'm looking at the bags, Renee took a pack of popcorn and told me she wanted. I was quite surprised as she's never wanted to try it at all before and I told her we'll get it later when I'm ready to pay for the pouches. Then, as I was walking to the cashier, she went : "oh mommy mommy, we're paying already, quick, go take the popcorn!" alamak, she remembered hahaha.
When we got to the restaurant, we found that we might not actually get a good view from there and so we went to check out some hotels and other restaurants. Found a few options and made a reservation with another restaurant(daddy wanted outdoor dining though...), so let's just hope all will go well that day(not too many ppl rush out near us to watch the fireworks and good weather). So Li, sooorrry, no hotel stay liao! hehehehehe.
On our way back, she asked for her popcorn and to distract her, daddy sang exaggeratedly in the car to a song and I asked Renee if his singing was nice. She said "no..." and daddy teased her further "why? but I love you so much ar". Guess how she responded? hahaha, she said "I love you also, but I don't like you to sing like that" hahahahaha.
I'm gonna be very busy tomorrow as it's Renee's class photo taking day! I may also need to bring her down to the physician's for a follow-up and perhaps if I'm not staying at her school to watch the photo-shoot, then I may hv to drive daddy down for his 'therapy'.
New cleaner!
Our new cleaner finally came(at 8am) today! And yes, she's Eng, a Korean(and she stays in Orchard, geez, hahaha...).
As Renee was still sleeping when she arrived, she started with the ironing first(which was actually the usual with the other cleaners anyway). When our dear girl finally woke up at ard 9:30am and walked out of the room in her dishevelled hair, Eng exclaimed "oh your girl is sooo cute!" and then she suddenly turned to me and asked "is your husband a Singaporean Chinese?". I said yes and asked her why and she said it's because Renee looks very much like a Japanese...
Although she didn't manage to clean up our windows(which I cleaned myself after she's left, as I couldn't stand it anymore hahaha but only briefly la, so still not 'clean' but more bearable) and some areas. When I asked her if she'd have time to clean up the windows next week, she told me to give her a few more weeks so that she could finish up all the 'un-cleaned' areas which our previous cleaner didn't do for us. She has requested for rubber gloves(and was surprised when she realised we didn't have any and the previous cleaners had never used them) but we only have the disposable ones and she made-do with them today. She's also insisted on the use of vacuum....
Before she left, she also mentioned to me that she's not used to our german mop and requested that she comes with the gloves, a mop(since the usual white colour 'hairy' mop which we kept aside isn't what she's referring to) and a different detergent to help us clear up the toilet 'dirt'. Well, I guess if it didn't cost too much and will let her do a really good job, then why not? Afterall, we're already paying abit more for her services...
I couldn't 'tahan' any further after I've showered Renee and so, after my quick lunch, I dozed off on the sofa whilst waiting for the laundry('cos I've stayed up late last nite for daddy's laundry and seeing that he's got more than1 wk's share of shirts, I ironed up the rest of mine, so that the cleaner won't have too much on her 1st day) but was woken up short while later by Renee, requesting to go pass urine and wasn't 'allowed' to continue....
Kinderland's sports day!
Today's Saturday and also, Renee's school's sports's day!
We left home at around 9am(a good half hour later than what we've originally planned for ). We got there before 9:30am and the carparks(the venue's and the nearby swimming complex's) were already full, so daddy had to drop us first and we went to collect our door gifts and register our coupon nos. for the lucky drawy, whilst he went in search of a parking lot.
This appeared to be more like a carnival or a 'family day' rather than a sports day! - there weren't any sports competition at all. When daddy caught up with us, we were kinda 'lost' and we headed to the field instead. Saw Renee's classmate and his mommy and she told us that we could still sign up for the Piggy Back + Kick the ball contest. We did and whilst waiting for the event to begin, we let Renee played around with the bouncing balls and the colourful balls(for kicking). The game finally began but there were no balls for the 'kick' hahaha and because of the 'run', daddy told me later that he could hear Renee grumbling behind him, on each 'bump' she felt during the run hahaha. Daddy & Renee came in 3rd but sadly, there were only prizes for the 1st 2 places, geez!
Not knowing what else to do, I suggested to go back to the 'canteen' but the food and games stalls were already packed with long ques. The 2nd time we went back there, we decided to just redeem the coupon for some food/drinks but they were already mostly sold out(yeah, should have listened to me and get them earlier) and we went for the game with the shortest que - The Flying Duckie. Renee managed to get 1 duckie into 1 of the boxes and won a prize of a crab keychain(chosen by her). The rest of the coupons went to 2 boxes of fruits, 3 tubs of cotton-candy(which Renee didn't want to eat after trying some), 1 box of fried rice(the least value for money one) and tattoos(see below pic). There were sculpted balloons for redemption too but since she's already holding one with the school's logo, we would end up having to hold either one of them for her, so I decided not to get that lolz.
Wasted my efforts in carrying the load of the digital camera and the video camera!
Feeling bored, we decided to forego the lucky draw(of which the 1st prize wld be the waiver of a 1 mth's or 1 term's school fee - whichever is applicable), we left for Vivo City as I wanted to go to the Naf Naf boutique there. Couldn't find any nice new apparels to redeem with my vouchers(might as well, since they're valid till Oct and I've just got a few pcs of new clothes, some from them too), we left for Ikea but we also ended up with nothing as the staff there couldn't help us and we didn't jot down the name of the shoe rack we needed to get, arrrggghhh.
When we got home, I showered Renee after her milk and I took mine whilst daddy had his nap(we both napped in the car already heee). And as he woke up late at around 5pm, we didn't go out as planned and he packed chilli crab and fried egg with oyster for our dinner :D
And oh, we('cos Renee was sleeping on daddy's shoulders) this sculpted balloon at Vivo City, isn't it cute? and it's free haha :
It's Friday again!
Yeah, it's Friday!
Woke up slightly earlier today to pick Eileen up from Kovan and rushed back to handle the fish(she's missed buying the pork for me 'cos I've earlier told her not to buy since she'd be going market again next wk but it turned out that she'd be busy next week helping my niece to move into the Uni hostel...) before sending Renee to school. Our dear girl slept til past 10am and I only woke her up at 10:20am since she went to bed late last night due to the late nap she had in the afternoon. Passed my sis the extra pair of sandals I've got recently 'cos even when it's of the smallest size(5), it's still too big for me. Good thing she can wear them, else it'll be a waste...
The minute we got to the school, the 'older' kids were already gathered at the hall and were singing/dancing to the 'Wheels on the Bus' song and Renee immediately moved her hands(like turning wheels) to the tune, sooo 'automatic' hahaha.
Got home, took a 10-15mins nap before I went back to her school and whilst waiting, passed my email address to the office as requested(for notices/updates).
The minute she saw me, she quickly asked to go 'gai gai'. I was still contemplating where to go to and decided at the very last minute to just head to Hougang Mall which was nearer from the school. At Mcdonald's, she saw me eating the nuggets and she asked : "can I?" I told her "until you've got your 20stars" and she ate her corn without protesting... Then when I was at a shop trying clothes, she said "mommy, dun buy", so I teased her "but u want to come shopping right? and if mommy dun buy, mommy do what?" and she said ok hahaha. Hmmm, don't think this is a suitable answer... I must change to a better one next time!!!
At the library, 1 malay lady(with her family) seemed to have take a liking to her hahaha. She kept on talking and teasing Renee even though our dear girl didn't give her very favourable responses but she wasn't offended, luckily. Then I text daddy and as he's coming home early, I told Renee that we'd have to leave the library then & there so I can go get a few dishes and some vege to cook, surprisingly she co-operated... :)
Reward chart update
Only 1 star was awarded to Renee yesterday due to her in-corporation to drink more water but then again, by the time she woke up, she already has to take her dinner with soup.... So, since she was very good to keep her toys up, I gave her 1 star and she was happy :)
To make her collection of the stars faster for her 'reward'(she's to collect 20 stars for each reward), so that she could see the 'effects/results' of this programe, I've decided to give her 2 stars for each tumbler of water she drank from today onwards and so she's got 4 stars today :).
Birthday celebration
Yes yes, my birthday is coming soon! :D
I was asking daddy if we should book a room for the night to watch the fireworks and he readily agreed! He told me to get a room with Marina Mandarin but upon our room reservation, I realised that it's gonna cost us about S$450.00 just for a night stay! I find that a waste of money but daddy said to go ahead as it's only a once a year thing and he wanted his precious girl to watch the fireworks without having to squeeze with the crowd. I still have 2 more days before I need to confirm my reservation, so I'll just see how...
Cookie, anyone?
When I brought Renee to the class this morning, her new main English Teacher, Mrs Annd Tan quickly came to inform me that they'd be making cookies today and asked if Renee can take it since there'd be eggs in it. Told her that we're currently monitoring her on this allergy and a little of the cookie should be ok.
Whilst the teacher was talking to me, I noticed that Renee opened up her backpack and took out her teacher/parent communication book and put it on top the pile of already stacked up ones on the table... It was such a cute sight to see her doing that :)
To avoid the car craze, I'd now go early to pick her up and that means I'd have to wait for her class to end. So at times, if permitted, I'll go sneak abit of her in action for a 1-2 minutes and just now, I saw that she hasn't got her clip on and was playing around with her chin tilted up as her fringe was 'blocking' her view hahaha. I then stood back so as not to distract her/class but 1 boy in her class was sitting near the classsroom door, looking 'blank'. When he finally saw me, I winked & smiled at him til he shy-ed and smiled before walking back to the group :). I later turned back to the school as I couldn't find the clip in her backpack and saw Zhou laoshi still standing at the door. The teacher said she'll go look for it...
Talking about car craze, it's funny why I've been running into 'faulty traffic lights' these 2 days since the time we ran into 2 such occasions when we were in JB?! However, ours were attended to much faster(almost immediate?) and the traffic flow was directed by experienced/'smarter' traffic policmen.
Then, Renee showed me happily the cookie she was given to bring home. Here it is :
Right now, not sure if she's bored, tired(cos she woke up slightly earlier this am)? Or was it due to the medication's clearing up her phlegm so she felt better when resting, that she went to her bed and napped whilst I was busy slotting the photos into the albums...
Mirror Off! On?
Daddy has been complaining about the elongated mirror that I've attached earlier to the car's rear view mirror. He said that it gave him headache hahaha, so as I'm now more familiar with the tinted sunscreen windows of the car, I took it down today - he was sooo happy when I told him that. however, after dropping Renee off to school, I've went to the mall to get the baby view mirror, so I can 'watch over' Renee without having to turn myself to face her but this gives me headache hahaha and I must try not to look at it too often :)
I've got another ablum to put in 'our family holiday photos' :D
Last evening, Renee was sooo funny, when she's had her dose of medication after her last milk feed, she said : "mommy, mommy, give me one more star!" hahahahaha. And I heard her asking her father what day is today, so she knows where to place her stars(to get) when it was usually enquired so she knows if it's 'gai gai after school' day hahaha.
I've been thinking of going for a pedicure package(tired of having to keep doing it myself and sick of daddy's complaints about the smell of the polishes hahaha) and I remembered there're at least 2 nail salons @ Compass Pt. I went to the one on the 2nd level as the people in the one near the carpark travellator look 'aunty/lian'. Upon enquiry, I'm deciding between the express pedicure(S$17) or the full pedicure(S$35, package at S$170 for 5+1 pedicure sessions).
Oh ya, I'm finally able to tie up Renee's hair!(good news for Li, ha!)
She's been requesting for it and for the past few days, she's been going to school happily, with 2 pony tails :D. However, as I need to clip up her fringe, I needed some 'not so flashy' clips, else she'd be like having sooo many things on her hair hahaha. Got these yesterday and she seems to like them :):
Notice there's only 1 pink ribbon clip? 'cos she's worn the other to school :)
Ribs - yummy!
We've been asking Renee to try different types of food every now and then but of cos, most of which she wouldn't. However, during our dinner on Sunday, she saw her cousin eating the roasted duck and she asked to try, liked and kept asking for more. And today, whilst she was having her dinner, I was snacking on the honey-baked ribs that I've bought from the mall and she said that she wanted to eat them! And ate them she did! :D So perhaps, she could really 'join us' for the better ribs, when we go to Tony Romas the next time hahaha(provided she still remembers about eating this lolz).
I've finally managed to print the 'chart' onto the cards with the printer instead of writing/drawing the lines myself, yeah! AND, our dear girl has achieved a total of 3 stars(2 1/2 for water drinking, 1/2 for keeping toys) on her very first day of 'star reward programme'! Keep it up and be awarded with more stars, Renee!
Last night, whilst having a little chat with Karen, I asked for her opinion on 'rewarding' Renee to encourage her to drink more water. She reminded me on the use of a chart - something which I've read about but looong forgotten!!! Thanks for the reminder, Karen :D
So today, after sending Renee to school, I quickly went over to the Popular @ Hougang Mall to get some coloured cards and star stickers(took a longer time searching for the files which daddy wanted me to get though :<). Co-incidentally, the star stickers which comes in 5 sheets of different colours are of the same/similar colour of the coloured cards! Got home with packed lunch from Long John Silver for both me and daddy(as he wanted to use my car today) and I quickly did up one chart for her so she can start her immediate star collection after school.
She was very excited about it initially but when I re-filled up the tumbler, she got upset('cos that means she'd have to 'do it' all over again hahaha) but was more receptive after I've explained the 'rules' to her again. Let's hope this will really help her to get into the habit of drinking at least 3 tumblers full of water :)
I've also bought 2 more story books for Renee. 1 is about eating rice and the other, which had first caught my eye('cos the girl illustrated in the book kinda resembles Renee, daddy agreed too hahaha) is about teddy bear. I'll have to wrap them up first like the rest of her books, before passing them to her.
And yes, finally sent the almost 200pcs for developing and I got them all today! Hurray :D
A busy day...
Renee has just finished the prescribed medication that's to clear her body of 'heaty toxics' and so we woke up earlier today as we have to bring her there again to get the prescription to clear up her phlegm.
Met the Principal when I brought Renee in to the school hall and she spoke to me(apparently she's been trying to contact me on my mobile yesterday but her calls were 'missed'). I told her of my concern and disappointment that I've not been informed, again, about the racial harmony event. She went on with her explanations and the follow-up measures that they're implementing now, to prevent re-occurence of such incidents. I told her that I'm not too particular about 'missing' such events but on school holidays or the like, I'd really wish to be informed...
Then I suddenly remembered the issue which another mommy brought up to me regarding 'toilet training' and I related that to her too. Her reply to that was just what they've told me when we came to check the school out - that they preferred children to be already toilet trained but there will be a couple whom will not be fully trained, however, being a school and not a childcare centre, they will also try to spend minimum time on the diaper changing for the kids(unless 'accidents' happen) - 'cos this will take up too much time and attention.
Followed daddy out to do some of his work and before we headed elsewhere to get a new battery for our house-phone, I requested that we go to Robinsons to get replacement travel bag. He wasn't keen but later relented since we'd need to go for our lunch as well. I got a weekend bag by LeSportsac at 30% and with my redeemed S$120 vouchers, I only have to pay S$16.50, heee(else, I wouldn't buy this brand lah, to be honest, I find them over-priced though I like their light-weight material).
By the time we've finished our errands, we managed to pick Renee up at just couple minutes past 2:15pm and I had to rush in to get her :D. Daddy was also very anxious and released his seat-belt before he's even done with his parking! hahaha... What to do, she's his 'xiao bao bei' what, as he said later.... :D
She was immediately manja again when she saw him, but the minute she got into the car, she demanded for her milk bread which I've not brought with me as I had not anticipated going to Robinsons. We stopped by a petrol kiosk to get a new loaf(since the current one only left with 2 slices anyway) but daddy told me not to give it to her unless she demands again(for fear that she'll 'dirty' his car... alamak). She didn't ask for it again til we were almost home when she realised we have not given her the bread hahaha... and she began to fuss. Reprimanded by daddy for that, she cried but later got 'pampered' by him *rolling eyes*. And with this drama adding to her 'waking up earlier' fatigue, she 's now napping away in dreamland :)
I'm also very sleepy now(but couldn't sleep as I still need to prepare the balance ingredients for the soup...).
We're back, again.. :)
It is a new week again and we've had a 'busy' weekend...
We arrrived at the Palm Resort after 4pm as there was a slight jam at the causeway and almost didn't have a room to stay in! I've told daddy much earlier to make the booking but as usual, based on his not-so-jun instinct, he said that there's no need for that since there usually aren't many people who would stay in(more to just go there for the golf games/recreations) but he was sooo wrong! There was some event for the UOB sales team and the rooms were almost fully taken up! Luckily, we still managed to get one and with a king-sized bed :)
After our dinner, there wasn't much things for us to do when daddy left to meet his clients to meet up with his clients but Renee still slept late at around 11pm. However, she didn't have a good sleep and was awaken a few times by the noise that the UOB staff was making... It was when they were still as rowdy at past 2am, that I decided to seek the front desk's help. These people, upon being informed, still took their own sweet time to disperse and I can hear them grumbling about it. I wondered how they could ever think of loitering around the corridors of hotel rooms and made sooo much noise outside? How inconsiderate!(or brainless? as daddy commented)
We woke up super early the next day to have breakfast with daddy and when he left for his golf game(tee off at 7am), I took Renee for a walk around the pool area. She was 'afraid' of the cool water but wanted to get inside, in her swimsuit, hahaha! Good thing daddy had suggested going for a dip just before we left home and I managed to pack in her swimsuit and floats.
As we were walking back to the room to get her changed, I warned her about the cold waters and that she's not to get her upper body wet(since she's not really swimming) and we'll only stay for a while but guess what she said? She replied : "nevermind, I wear the green colour one after I come up - referring to the green clr robe my sis passed to me hahaha". The baby pool there was of a 'perfect' height for her to play in and she really enjoyed herself :D. After spending about an hour plus in the pool, I told Renee we'll need to get back for her shower and rest(which she claimed she didn't need but knocked out in 10secs hahaha).
My car had a good wash(yeah, drove my car in, as we didn't dare to go in, in daddy's car), it rained when we left the custom check point! But, the car's still clean, heee.
Both daddy and I were sooo tired when we got back, and after a quick unpacking of bags, abit of laundry, I decided to also take a short nap. Our little darling was however still actively playing with her toys whilst we both were napping.
I woke up after a 1/2 hour nap and cooked Renee's meal. We left home at 7pm, heading to the temple @ Jurong for their annual celebration dinner. There were about 500 tables occupied and the food served were as usual-good! Daddy was given 7 tables for the bid he's made last year but as there were'nt enough people we could get on time to join us, daddy told them we'll just take one table. Seems like we might be getting a few tables for next year and Jurong's abit too far for most of my family members, so we'll see if anyone would like to join us then.
It was already past midnight when we got home after sending my FIL back and Renee, whom had fallen asleep in the car(I've teasingly told her not to fall asleep in her car seat and she had 'chased' me impatiently a few times whilst I'm driving, to get home soon - so this is the reason hahaha), cried when I carried her up from the seat. She was awake but cranky and very manja when we got home and said she didn't want to go to the school today as she 'want to rest at home' hahaha... so here she is, now at home :)
Forgiving...
We went to pick daddy's sister up on our way to the dinner(together with her maid, youngest daughter xuen le and 2nd son xuen tin) and Renee was still sleeping soundly when they got into the car. However, a little teasing from them woke her up and I could hear her 'laughing' with them. She was still enjoying herself with her cousin Xuen Le at the dinner but things got a little 'heat-up' when XL began to snatch her chopsticks, bowl, pulled her hair and pinched her cheek & chin(the latter two weren't noticed by daddy, else he'll be sooo hearached and also be caught in a dilemna lolz). I kept telling XL gently, to play nicely but she didn't quite listened...I guess later, my SIL was abit upset since her maid, being new, wasn't really helping her(my SIL said she's also just signed XL up with Kinderland pre-n, although she's already registered to a church school for nursery next year, 'cos her new maid can't handle XL).
Renee was able to defend gently when it comes to the snatching(during one of the snatches, I told her to let go of her chopsticks, for fear that she might hurt herself but she wouldn't) but at the point when her cheek was pinched, she turned to me and told me sooo pitifully : "mommy, xuen le mei mei pinched my cheek" and almost sobbed... However, she didn't cry and only asked me to carry her. I sayang-ed her and spoke to XL again to play nicely and don't pinch Renee...XL likes to be 'jie jie' so when she heard us telling her that she couldn't do this/that to 'jie jie', she wasn't happy :D. In the end, my SIL scolded her and she defied by trying to 'hit' back(she had earlier tried to hit my hand I think, can't rem where, when I jokingly told her 'cannot do this')and that's when daddy, daddy's elder brother and father told her 'cannot do that', that she burst into tears.
It's really not easy to be parents these days...
This morning, I sorta recounted the incident to Renee(though I tried to make it sound as 'lightly' as possible) and to my pleasant surprise, she didn't hold it against her cousin at all and said she loves her, I'm glad... :)
Toxic Bottles
I've got this info quite some time back but didn't know how to put up 'document' here...So now, whilst waiting for daddy to collect the foodstuffs, Renee to wake up and before we get ready to set off, I decided to just extract(mainly just copy and paste lolz) the main part and post it up here for everyone's(who would be keen to know) benefit:
I'll just put up the 'main part' :
Popular Baby Bottles Sold in California Leach Bisphenol A at Harmful Levels. Based on a consumer survey of the most popular baby bottle brands on the market, we selected five bottle types to determine the amount of leaching from each bottle. We found that the bottles tested from all five brands leached bisphenol A at levels found to cause harm in numerous laboratory studies, including:
• Avent
• Dr. Brown’s
• Evenflo
• Gerber
• Playtex
Table 1: Summary of Testing for Bisphenol A Leaching in Baby Bottles
Baby Bottle Brand Range of Bisphenol A Detected (parts per billion)
Avent 8 – 10 ppb
Dr. Brown’s 6 – 7 ppb
Evenflo 8 – 9 ppb
Gerber 6 – 7 ppb
Playtex 5 – 6 ppb
Good thing I don't use any of the above brand's... never understood why they were so popular in the first place...
There are alot more information provided in the full contents and anyone who wishes to read more, let me know, I can forward the documents(total 37 pages) to you.
This is the 2nd week that we have no cleaners to our home. The cleaner issue is now quite 'settled' but as we won't be around over the weekend, we'll have to try her(the Korean lady) out next Sunday morning and these are the things that I did, before we have to leave tomorrow:
  1. change & wash up Renee's bedsheets(did this yesterday, luckily...)
  2. iron up my clothes
  3. mop the floor
  4. wash the toilet bowls
  5. scrubbed the toilet floor
  6. change & wash up the floor rugs
  7. washed the sinks/vanity top/areas that even the cleaner doesn't do...
  8. laundry(again)
Having a cranky Renee around whilst I'm doing all these certainly wasn't easy... but I did it! *phew*
I'm sooo tired now... Think I'll have to get daddy to go pick up the foodstuffs from Eileen tomorrow morning so I can pack up the bag(even though he'll be back late again tonight, he won't be as tired as me right?).
Racial Harmony Day?
Geez, it's racial harmony day today and I'm not aware! yes, again...
Last Friday, we saw the children gathering at the assembly hall to sing the school song(can't imagine a pre-school having its own school song!) and today, there were alot more children(no wonder the car park compound was still soooo crowded when I've arrived at the time when class is to begin) at the hall and they seemed to be practicing for the sports day(1 group of children were indeed practicing some dance y/day when we went to pick Renee). It didn't occur to me that there's an 'occasion' today til I saw some of Renee's classmates wearing different race costumes in the class. When the same mommy-Ms Chen(Rohan's mommy, I must ask for her name next time) arrived, I asked if she's got the notice about this day and she said yes. Another mommy heard and asked if Renee was absent that day, which was NO. There had been an earlier occasion when I had almost brought her to school on a school holiday as I wasn't informed and I had thought that things had improved when I got the Principal's letter about the sports day and the class photography - don't tell me the new teacher only remembers when it's time to collect money? Although Kinderland is not as expensive a school as compared to JG or Chiltern House, but it is not cheap either. The fees we are paying is still 2-3times(even more if compared to neighbourhood schools) than other schools'. So naturally, we would expect a better quality in most matters, right? I don't think the teacher(s) being new is a good reason. Hmmm, I guess this calls for a little talk with the principal to show my concern(not only just mine actually, from what I've heard) over the slack. It's sooo 'sian' to have to do this, but I've no choice since it is important that I'm kept informed about anything regarding school.
Another thing I've noticed and told daddy was that I've noticed early this week, that Renee appeared kinda 'bored' in the class - it's like 'she knew already, so it's boring to her'. Then today, we saw her facing the back of the classroom looking at the aunty helping 2 boys changing diapers! Daddy was concerned about her learning things, so I told him that Rohan's mommy had observed that Kinderland is indeed not too pushy academically and I reminded daddy that it was our preference too, ain't it? I told him that JG and Chiltern House are also adopting the 'learn through play' concept and they're more at it, I guess. Anyway, shall see how things go til end of this year before we decide anything, as Renee seems to enjoy going there...
Daddy came home late last night and so he didn't go out to 'work' but instead, he went to the temple @ Jurong after he went to pick Renee up with me. Oh ya, today Renee was sooo manja! He carried her up the minute she was 'released' to him(the administrator/teacher(s) will look out for the parents at the door and will hand each child to the caregiver) and she clung to him and lie on his shoulder - a moment daddy savoured! and this girl knows hahaha
Renee's throat had been irritated by her phlegm last week and we were glad that she was ok over the weekend but to our dismay, it came back yesterday! Her phlegm is now greenish colour, that means she's very heaty! Told daddy to take us to the chinese physician again since the western medication didn't help, like always... And today, I tried to remember the route there - I hope I will really remember it this time(only thing is that I'm afraid I might forget again if don't go there for a period of time, which I wld hope also, ironic? lolz)... The physician said she's got the 'heaty cold' again but it's been a few months since we last saw him, so that's good already. Oh man, to me, it sure isn't....
I managed to get another 'Dora' water tumbler(yes, one more...) from Kiddy Palace after I've sent Renee to school. Heard a granny asking her granddaughter "Pocoyo nice or not" and I was tempted to get one for Renee since it's now her favourite, cartoon(or should I say, one of them hahaha), but I couldn't decide which(since it comes with a few series) and didn't get any lolz.
Cleaners
Just when I thought that I'm bound to trying out with the agencies, it seems like I may be able to give my friend, Karen's partime cleaner a try afterall(since she could only come next sunday and with now the coming 'trip', we'd have to skip tis wkend too).
And with luck, after seeing each other sooo many times at the school, this mommy came to talk to me today!(her daughter's in N level and her son's with Renee's class) Then, it so happened that we came to the topic of cleaners and she recommended her usual cleaner, a Korean lady to me. But after conversing with the lady, she called back to say that she's ok to help me on Sun mornings, 8am(that means I have to wake up at 7:30am on Sundays now, arrrgggh). She charges more also but I guess Korean lady should be good? Will have to find out alittle bit more and talk to daddy about it.
Another golf trip
Yeah! - Yesterday, whilst taking my lunch after the mad rush of getting new racks and changing the one in the toilet(already sinking due to the weight of some detergents lolz) before picking Renee up, I had thought that I could perhaps take a break from the blog since there isn't much 'new/interesting' things to write about.
But, daddy came home in the evening asking if we'd like to join him for a 2 days 1 night stay at JB, Malayia. Why there? He'd have to entertain a group of Malaysian clients who enjoy drinking there(probably nearer to home, but not to daddy!) and he has an early golf game at Palm Resort & Country Club the next day. So, he'd rather that we join him there so he didn't have to come back in the late hours and wake up a couple hours later to go in again, for his golf game.
I'm in for it(since I'm the one whom had suggested this to him earlier before) and Renee was very happy when we told her that we're going to a hotel again, lolz.
A long waited facial
I finally get to go for my looong postponed facial treatment! My appointment was fixed at 11:30am so I could go there straight after sending Renee to school. And to help me 'tong' till end of the session, I took heavier breakfast this morning :). I wish I could have a little more time to go for more treatments like body scrub and such, but I'm still glad that I finally had my facial done today :D
The sky's just started a heavy downpour and Renee, worrying about her daddy, asked me : "Papa take aeroplane?", "papa drive".... :D
Then there was this slight thundering and I heard Renee saying : "I'm a good girl"(to the thunder) hahahahaha
Daddy just phoned and informed me that he'll be back veeery late tonight :{ and when I told Renee about it, she passed me the house phone and when daddy's on the line, she said to him : "papa, please come home early, I miss you and mommy's hungry". Oh man, I didn't say that I'm hungry! When I laughed at that, she said : "No, I'm hungry, please come back and shiork shiork(sayang) me, then mommy hurry cook and cook for me".
lolz...
Monday, July 14, 2008
After dinner, Renee doze off on the sofa whilst watching the tv(no one played with her as I was busy packing up part of our wardrobe area). I woke her up and let her have some of her favourite green pear to keep her awake.
At about 9pm, just before I went in for my shower, I saw Daddy 'playing' with her but nevertheless, I've this feeling that she might fall asleep again. True enough, I came out of my shower and found her sleeping on her bed! I asked daddy if she's had her milk and he replied No and that he just carried her to bed as he found her sleeping on the sofa when he came out to the hall, geez...I should have reminded him not to leave her alone when I'm not around(actually, I've highlighted this to him many times already...).
Realising that she hasn't had her milk nor pee-ed, I contemplated waking her up. After some considerations, I went to make some milk for her, and managed to persuade her to take it. 3/4 down and she didn't want anymore, so I carried her to the toilet... she even laughed hahaha. But with that, she didn't want to resume her sleep and I had to try and pacify her to. Finally, with some TLC of story telling, gentle patting, lullaby humming and music thereafter, she fell back to dreamland...
If only she would go to bed this early every night... :)
New Schedule
It's Monday again...
And as I'm still 'looking' for that 'perfect timing' to send and/or pick Renee up to/from school, I tried different timings today. It wasn't that 'bad' when she first joined Kinderland Serangoon as there hadn't been as many students and thus, not so crowded at the carpark. Although the drive compound is rather spacious for a preschool, it is now always jammed pack with more addition of students.
Before I started driving, we'll normally arrived at around 11am, so that gives her abt 15 mins of play time before the class begins. However, to avoid the car craze hahaha, I now have to send her there later and today when I told her so, she acknowledged by saying : "yeah, go school I have to keep toys already". Oooooh, that sounded kinda sad, ain't it? So, this called for a new timing search...
However, one thing I'm sure is that I'll definitely have to go earlier to pick her(which effectively means that I'll have to WAIT for her class to end) up 'cos I can't be late and let her wait for me esp I've seen those children waiting for their parents at the administrative office, looking quite 'poor thing'...
I left home earlier and fixed up the car decal before going to Renee's school and I took the opportunity of 'spare time' to make payment for the class photography and coupons for their coming school's sports day. Had a quick word with the Principal and learnt that they do have some fun family games for Pre-N, so will gotta see how :D
We went to punggol plaza after school as I need to pick up some groceries and I gave Renee her milk whilst on the way there. She then had her bread when we were there whilst I ate some snacks. When we got home, I half-heartedly asked Renee if she'd like to have fresh milk and to my surprise, she said yes. She even make sure I gave her the 'correct one' as she insisted : "mommy, I want the rectangle one and with the straw one" - That's the decription of the packaging hahaha. And she finished it up immediately... great! Hope she'll keep this up!
The Weekend
Saturday
Although the biz trip was not materialised, it was nevertheless too late to attempt attending my ex colleague's wedding dinner and since no seat was allocated for me yet, I thought it best to just leave it as it is and we went to my mom's. Renee happily ate the oats that was cooked with the prawns(my mom gave all of us a treat at e restaurant) and for that, she drank up almost all the water in her tumbler hahaha - good!
I had forgotten that I wanted to phone our cleaner(Ah Lee) and asked if she could come over earlier on Sun but so 'jun', she phoned and informed that she needed to go back as her father(or grandfather)'s seriously ill but her 'cousin' will come help us do the cleaning instead, I guess no choice... Her cousin was supposed to get in touch with me but I waited in vain last night.
Then, at the multi-storey carpark, daddy realised that his car was little 'out' of the lot and went to move it 'inwards' and I teased Renee by waving to her goodbye from the outside(I was already out of the car then) before go to hide behind the walls. When the car's 'perfectly' parked, I heard her wailing when daddy picked her up from the carseat and I decided to come out from the hiding. Big drops of tears were flowing down from her eyes... I asked why she cried and she said : "I thought mommy take the car, drive and go to other place..." heeeee.
Sunday
The 'cousin' phoned this morning and told me that she'd be here ard 11am+ - oh, it's actually a timing we'd prefer and we had thought that we could have this time slot for the next few weeks to come, whilst Ah Lee went back home.
However, a missed call on my mobile told me otherwise... the 'cousin' phoned as she claimed she couldn't find the block or whatever but she didn't pick up her mobile when I returned the call later? I phoned Ah Lee but didn't get her either... I waited til it's almost 1pm when I decided to phone the 'cousin' again(she was already on her way home!) and was in for a total different story. Will elaborate when we get to talk ya, guys...
So today, besides the usual chores(changing Renee's bedsheets, cushion covers, wash up the flr rugs, bath towels...) which I've to do even when the cleaner's here, I've to iron up the clothes, wash the toilets, etc. Daddy helped out by ironing some of his clothes and the changing of our bedsheets.
We stayed at home today as we were both too tired after the chores and also, daddy's change of mood made me don't feel like going out. At 6pm, whilst daddy was in dreamland, Renee also fell asleep, so I quickly defroze the food and began cooking her dinner and whilst she's having her meal, I dialled for pizzas delivery(which Renee happily ate up quite abit - the side crusts and honey baked wings, even after her bowl-ful of porridge).
TGIF
I vaguely heard daddy filling up his large water bottle for his golf game early this morning and although I went back to sleep almost immediately, I still woke up abit earlier. And good thing I did, 'cos daddy did NOT close up the kitchen windows as per my note! Geez, luckily I woke up on time before the workers started on it(they start from ard 8:30am) and I quickly closed the windows, *phew*... I let Renee sleep on a little later and the minute she woke up, she looked for her daddy and when I told her that he's gone for his golf game, she went : "Why? Why always golf and golf?" hahaha. Daddy, that's for you!
Today's the first time I see the children gathering at the assembly hall and sang the 'Kinderland' song together! Most of the N and K students seem to know the lyrics and are singing with the music teacher.
Brought Renee to the mall today 'cos it's Friday. I had thought to 'skip' that and go straight home, however, she kinda knew(dun ask me how she knew, perhaps she counted the days from what I told her - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday...) and told me the minute she saw me : "mommy, go shopping". I've no choice hahahahaha.
Surprisingly she got tired after a short while but she persevered with the 'walk'... So when daddy wanted me to pack his KFC twisted roll back for dinner, I decided, with the load of the stuffs I've got, to go back earlier so I can still cook her dinner. Renee took the neck support pillow and told me she's only pretending to 'use it'('cos I told her to use it only when she wanna sleep in the carseat) and I told her since she's only pretending, there's no need to just hold it. However, she wasn't 'pretending', she fell asleep... :(
With 2 cups of drinks spilling and too many things to carry, I text daddy to get ready to render his assistance when I reached the carpark and thinking that he might be napping, I dialled his mobile and let it rang once before hanging up. But I guess it was useless, cos I have to phone his mobile, then our house phone to get him to come down hahaha. I cleaned up the little mess the drinks have created whilst waiting for him and he LOVINGLY carried his daughter home(he simply loves such moments lolz).
Back to school topic - I remembered those round car decals(school logo) I saw on the school's gate and had thought of asking for one hehehe. Then recently, I saw someone's car has got this 'I love(not in words but in the shape of a heart) Kinderland' and was wondering if I could get that. Then on intuition, I opened up Renee's backpack when I got back, I saw an envelope containing the Principal's letter regarding their Family & Sports Day 2008(saw the notice but didn't read hahaha) and 2 booklets of coupons were enclosed - but of cos we were told to pay the school hahaha. It'll be held @ ITE College Central(Bishan Campus) on the 26th July, Saturday from 8:30am. I'll have to check with them if all needed to be present from that timing or if we could join later given that Renee might be abit too young for us to take part in their family games lolz. But I would like to go for their 'Parenting Talk I and II'.
Another note found in the communication book was on the "Class Photograph' and we're to pay S$16 for a set of : 1pc 5R Group photograph + 1 pc 3R Individual portrait + 2 pcs wallet size Individual portrait Plus 1 pc fancy picture holder for both 3R and 5R group photographs. Yes, we're in for it! lolz
Renee's been asking "is aunty Vicky coming to my house" since this morning when she heard me telling daddy about her coming over.
She asked again, if aunty Vicky was already at our place, when I went to pick her up.
Then she complained and asked why she's still not here at around 5pm+ lolz.
However, when Vicky was finally here, she didn't 'talk' to her and didn't even wanna wave or give her a goodbye kiss/hug like before, when she's leaving. So, during her shower, I asked why she's reacted in such unfriendly way given that she's even gone on a holiday with aunty Vicky and she replied that she was only pretending. I told her that her pretend was abit too long and she should have at least stopped the pretence when aunty vicky was leaving. I asked if she'd like me to phone aunty to apologise and she said yes.
So, I dialled Vicky's mobile no. and pass Renee our house-phone and she went "Hello? Aunty Vicky? It's Renee...I'm sorry, I want to play with you next time" hahaha I couldn't hear what my friend had said to her but when I took over the phone, my gf 'sim tia' and scolded me for 'torturing' my darling hahaha. I clarified that I wasn't and I'm guiding her, besides she's agreed to the phone call, I didn't force her(she wldn't say anything anyway, if she wasn't willing to), kekeke.
Anyway, just heard from daddy a while ago that he'd be going for another golf game tomorrow morning, haiz....
I've been getting watery eyes since 2 days ago and daddy told me to go have it checked in case it might be some infection. So I went(alone, as daddy said I'm no longer a baby hahaha and that he has accounts to do at home) after sending Renee to school. Waited a solid hour for my turn, geez and I haven't got any eye infection, more an allergy is the cause. Given eye drops and I got some cough syrup as well.
There were a few kids in the clinic, coughing away(sounds like with phlegm) and the last patient(a little girl) finally started to fuss due to the long wait and kept asking for 'mien bao' hahaha. What's with the kids these days, they all seem to like bread sooo much :D.
Since I've still got enough time, I thought to pack some lunch back for daddy before I go pick Renee up. This daddy is now really enjoying man, with me doing all the 'running' about these days...
Good thing we were home, 'cos the Aquadoodle's Rainbow & Doodle Mat that I've ordered via a spree was delivered by the postman, due to its size :)
I packed up 3 slices of bread and left it next to Renee's carseat and immediately she got onto the seat, she straight away grabbed and finished all 3 of them! I decided to delay a 1/2 hr before giving her the milk, so I went to mop the floor. She requested for fresh milk when I asked if she's ready for her milk and when I asked her why, she replied that 'cos she's a jie jie now hahaha. I had thought that she had seen her friend(s) drinking fresh milk in school but she said none did. However, I still gave her the formula milk and gave her the fresh milk awhile later - to my surprise, she finished the whole pack! This is the 1st time she finished a whole pack of fresh milk, hurray!
Today's weather's pretty bad - hot and rain..... another day whereby I'm glad that I've made the move and got to driving, else will feel really lousy having to send and pick your kid up in such conditions.
I'm feeling sleepy now but I can't go to nap as my gf Vicky is popping by to pass me the fragrance I've bought at the DFS before we board the plane and I've gotta pay her for some of the trip cost...
Meantime, I saw Renee drawing at the table and decided to take a pic and show u guys how she likes to sit with her feet crossed - like in a Japanese way?
Renee woke up at 8am+ this morning and I have no choice but to get up from my sleep as well, heee. Before sending her to school, I told daddy to wait for me so that we could go for lunch together. However, it was only me who ate as he was still 'full' from his breakdfast :(
Today I remembered and brought 3 slices of the milk bread which she finished all in the car hahaha.
Seeing that Renee is still not drinking much from the new water bottle(only drank quite abit on the first day she used it), I told her that we're going to Hougang Mall to try and look for an 'easier to open/close' bottle but reminding her that we'll have to leave once our 'search' is done and she said ok. She really obeyed and followed me whenever I told her we have to leave the shop(s). I still couldn't find any good one and so I told her to use the Thermos one which I've bought for her months ago. She said it's too heavy and I told her that I'll carry it for her but with that comment from her, I asked her to choose between it and the new water bottle and she chose the Thermos...Let's just hope she'll really drink from it, haiz...
She must have been very tired from waking up earlier that she fell asleep on our way back and as usual, she woke up when I placed her on her bed(yeah, so much for my carrying her sooo carefully all the way from the car to her bed, haiz.).
