As promised, more audios...

This is the 'opening song' for their 20mins chinese session :)

Ok folks, that's all for the time being, will try upload more upon my return from this trip(rushing like mad liao)

Artwork display

When this artwork was completed, the kids each tied their very own 'Terrapin' to their back, and danced away to the music - So CUTE! This was created with cut Apple, Cucumber, Pepper. Can U guess which is which? :)
The kids dipped the leaves of a vegetable(think it's Kang Kong) into a bowl of paint and swept them across the artpaper. And the result... :

Audios

*I will try to upload as much of audios as possible ('cos we'd be leaving for another trip soon). Hope that they could keep the loyal readers entertained for a while lolz*

Not sure about your opinion of our X'mas tree, but here's Renee's :)

Nursery Rhyme - This was recorded, a couple of days from the very first time she heard it

A quick update

Some of you asked why there's been no updates in the blog lately? Hehehe, that's becos we were away, since Wed(on a business trip and Renee's with her aunt Eileen) and had only just got back - the plane we were on, landed around 7:30pm.
Before we left, Li asked if we'd like them to bring Renee down to pick us up from the airport since she'd be at her place the whole of Sunday. We both find that a very good idea and so, whilst waiting for our luggage just now, I was anxiously looking out everywhere for her(them) LOLz and when I couldn't find them, her daddy made me phone Lili to re-confirm... hahaha

Once again, our appreciations to all whom readily help us to look after and/or play with Renee whenever we have to go away...Thanks!

The Million Dollar Question - Audio version

I suddenly remembered this and briefly asked her the same question again. The answer was quite about the same though lolz... :

Audios

Ok ok, here's more -by popular demand :D

Renee was hving her dinner and enquiring about the container of chips at our dining table when her aunt lili came over. She quickly asked her(but her aunt was busy talking to herself hahaha):
More coming up ya :)

The 'white patches' are salt! And they were 'encouraged' to try its taste, Renee finally tasted it and her face 'crumpled' lolz
A Jellyfish cum Tambourine (the children put green beans inside before sealing the jellyfish up - thus the tambourine)! What an creative yet interesting idea lolz

Party Invitation!

Last week, Renee's been invited to her 'good buddy' - Jeannieve's birthday party next month and after consulting her daddy(cos it's to be held at the west side of the island) and not sure abt our travelling schedule next month, he said "sure gotta let her go, jeannieve is her good friend wat". So, upon this comment, I've replied YES to the mommy liao and Renee is now just waiting to go to the party, hee hee, so am I! Why do I look forward? Mainly becos Renee likes Jeannieve and also, the invite says there's Magic Show! - This will be the first time we watch a magic show live! :D

sorry, gotta shrink the invite this small, cos the little girl's pics are there(hv to protect the girl also mah :>) Jeannieve is a cute girl who has got an infectious smile too and she's friendly - maybe that's why she and Renee can click so well, even at their first meeting! Even my sis whom has seen some of my friends' children, commented that she's cute too :)

Finally, the audio recordings of her singing!

I gave up!
I was hoping to find an easier way to upload the mobile phone's audio recordings of her speeches and singing and had waited for some kind souls to tell me how, but... till date, none achieved hahaha.

However, not to fear - I've found a way! Hurray! Here's presenting..... :

This is one of the 'opening' songs during her playgroup sessions(but she's 'altered' it by adding to the ending, with something she's picked up from the Hi5 shows)-she deliberately 'slang' the word 'afternoon', see how mischievious she is! hahaha
'Good Afternoon'
'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'
Geez, I didn't know that it'd take sooooo long to upload these! So folks, that's all for now but stay tuned for more ya! :)

Artwork display

This rabbit is made out of cooked rice, raisins, marshmallow and carrotsI simply love the end product of this artwork!
The kids were asked to brush on the various paint colours on one half side of their paper and when the paints are mixed, they were to 'slap' the 2 sides of the paper together to 'produce' the effect. N Renee's turned out to be so much like a butterfly and everyone was amazed lolz

Her daddy called this 'sensibility'...

Lately, she loves to play this bedtime game with me when I tuck her to bed - She'll kiss me, then say 'one more time' to kiss me again and, after repeating this a few times, she'll deliberately fall unto her pillow and laugh heartily(without bestowing me with the 'last' kiss). She'll insist on a few rounds(at least 3) of this game before she'd allow me to leave the room. This has been going on for many nights now...

Today, I told her that mommy and daddy will be going on a business trip again soon and she even replied, happily, that she'll be going to aunty poh choo's house. But, from what she just did, I guess she must have 'felt sad' or 'missed us' already 'cos tonight, as we were playing this simple yet loving bedtime game , there was a sudden display of emotions from her - On the 2nd round of the game, instead of the usual kissing action, she changed it to 'moving backwards' away from me. Seeing her moving away, I pretended to be sad and suddenly she stopped her game and said "'I don't want already" and abruptly lied down. She pouted and tears began to roll down her cheeks..... I was shocked cos when I brought her to meet her aunty Lili earlier(so I can have my haircut and buy some reading books for her), she was still very happy. I quickly hugged her and asked her what's wrong and she replied "because mommy is sad"... Oh dear, I was sooooo touched but am glad in a way, to know that she still loves her mommy :*)

However, being an ever cheerful girl, it just took a few teases from me to get her laughing away again : >

Diaper Bag?

Someone used to ask me what kinda bag I carry after I've had Renee, here they are :
My very first diaper bag - a lovely gift given by a close friend whom had gotten it from Bangkok Besides the side and front pockets, the best part of the bag is that it unfolds into a 'changing pad' - softly padded, so perfect for infants :) Much earlier, we thought of bringing Renee on a trip and so, I went to get this bag from a forum bulk purchase. But dunno why, the logo started to come off just after 2nd day of 'brief' usage! I was asked to return it and after much hassle, got a full refund, haiz:And after Renee has been toilet-trained, I no longer have to bring so much stuffs like disposable diapers and etc), I got myself this, when the first one(abv-ladybug) became 'abit too big' However, the abv carter's bag didn't last very well and I've to get another. I couldn't find another nice one in time, so just make do with this one(comes with a pink foldable changing mat-but not of use at all now)
However, it seems like I don't have much luck with the diaper bags I've bought. They all conked out on me after a few washes! Funny how the very first one given to me(the ladybug one) can be sooooo well/long lasting despite that it's gone thru more washes than any of them! Given up, and thinking that I no longer need an Actual Diaper Bag, I took up the courage to reserve one bag I saw from the magazine today. But when I got there(and met up with my gf there), was told that the bag looks too big on me, haiz... so I've gotta search around the shop for another and ended up with this, nice? hehehe :

French Loaf?

Not too long ago, we went to our favourite restaurant Tony Romas and Renee, half way thru her bowl of porridge, saw her daddy spreading butter/garlic to the french loaf served(whilst waiting for our food order) and wanted to eat the bread instead.
We let her eat it with the garlic spread and surprisingly, she liked it! lolz... So far she's been ok with bread and had 'agreed' with quite a few different types of bread, so perhaps that's why she's more receptive even though it has garlic spread on it.

We had an overseas guest over today and for a change, we decided to bring our guest to Tony Romas for dinner(as we always bring him to the usual Chinese/Indo/Indian restaurants). To save time/avoid hassle, I didn't cook her dinner and guess wat? - she had a good time enjoying her garlic spread bread lolz.

Chicken Rice?

I had drafted this in my mobile phone(I usually do this whenever I see/remember stuffs that I wanna put up in this blog, for fear that I'll forget later) but had forgotten abt it hahaha :

I remembered when Renee first tried chicken rice(only the rice)quite some time ago, she had liked it but after a few times eating it, she refused to eat it, maybe becos it's oily and rice is drier...

To prepare/accustom her to eatting 'outside' food when she attends nursery or when we go holidays with her, I started to prepare more of her meals with rice recently.
2 Sundays ago, we gave her chicken rice again. The first spoonful was rejected, as expected, but she finished her portion of it later, with the chicken :)

The same week - Wednesday, I brought her to Hougang mall and I ordered chicken rice for her again and she also finished up her portion(though slower) :D

Last Sunday, we gave her char siew + duck rice. As usual, seeing different food, she refused it but she's tried chicken rice and found it nice(again :>), she was more willing to try the char siew rice this time. And guess what? She liked it! hahaha, hurray!

~~~~~
And so, today, with the 3 of us waking up late(10:20am!), we decided not to cook her lunch again and when she heard me telling her daddy to buy char siew/duck rice, she nodded happily upon the word 'char siew' hahaha
Who does the princess love? ^-^
Yesterday evening, whilst on our way back, in the car...:
Mommy : "do you love mommy?"
Renee : "yes"
Mommy : "do you love papa?"
Renee : "no"
Mommy : "why?"
Renee : (not answering the qns)"mommy and renee, 2 only"
Mommy : "what about papa? papa sad ar". "do you love papa?"
Rneee : "no"
Papa : "ok, then papa dun bring you go out"
Renee : "mommy bring renee out"
Papa : "but papa go out with mommy ar"
Renee : "........."
This morning, she almost tripped over a cushion on the floor and I caught her on time. She laughed and said "ha, I almost fall"(she's still not using the correct tense now).
Didn't realise she knew how to and has been using this word "almost"...geez, see how kids can really pick up words from us and most of the time she even knew its meaning without us explaining it to her :)
Medicines?
Renee used to prefer chinese medication(when she first started hving phlegm, we brought her to the chinese physician as the western medication didn't work) but now, it seems like she prefers the western ones - of cos, which kid wouldn't? They're all soooo sweet! hahaha
Earlier this year, we had gone to the western doc for her fever and was also prescribed flu(orange clr fluid) and phlegm(green clr fluid) medication but we didn't let her consume as we brought her to the chinese physician when her fever subsided).
Few days ago, she caught the flu bug and with the choice doctor not being available(Public Holiday), I took the chance and gave her the earlier prescribed flu medicine and though she resisted at first, she later liked it! lolz. Can u imagine, she can even go "arhh arhh" with her mouth open and finger pointing towards it, asking u to give her more! and whenever u mentioned it's time for medication, she'll say : "I want orange one". Now, she'll say "orange and green" lolz.
And so from now on, 'threathening' her with medications will have to start with the 'colour' hahaha.
Apple = Nice "pee pee"?
Renee used to eat apples in small slices with its skin intact but later took a change from that to eating them in cube size without the skin. Recently, she took some of daddy's apples(sliced, with skin) and assuming that she likes it this way again, I prepared them the same way for her(after her lunch) a few days ago. However, after a few bites, she started to spit out the skin and told me she doesn't like the skin. *???*
I teased her : "U must eat the skin, it's good for you"
Renee : "No, I don't like"
I continued teasing her : "If you eat the apple skin, it'll make you mei mei ar, and your 'pee pee'(buttocks) will be nice nice ar"
Renee : (twisting/turning around to look at her buttocks) : "so cute"
hahahahaha
A quick revamp on the 'bottom branch' of the Xmas Tree
Can u spot any difference at all? lolz (well, u will, if u've got an eye for details ^-^)
Artwork display
The children were asked to blow at their wet paintwork with a straw to see the effect
Another artwork of Lion - this is the 2nd time with a different type of 'creation'
I find this pc of artwork is very 'useful' to the children esp those whose mommies are pregnant ^-^)
Xmas is coming!
Time flies and the Christmas holiday is coming again soon!
Though we're not Christians but Buddhists, we like to indulge in the 'wonderful' feelings this festive season brings - time to share love/gifts and gather together.
Usually, for X'mas and CNY, we'll also try to put up a little decor here and there at home, to create the mood and atmostphere and there's no exception this year!
We'll be having an overseas guest(one group just left last wk!) coming this week and since our cleaner was here on sat, I decided to put up our decor on Sat and Renee will go "it's soooo beauuuutiful" each time some ornaments are being put up lolz.
Here's some pics for u :
Our X'mas Tree! - must find time to re-arrange the ornaments, esp those at the bottom branches lolz
For this area, we used to 'create' the 'snow flakes' with the snow spray, which I find has better 'real' effects but cleaning can be abit messy. These 'flakes'(with glitters) were bought from Shanghai last year end but we only put them up this year, nice? :)
Smoking is bad...
Renee has been asking her daddy to 'don't smoke' for many times now...
Yesterday, she took his cigarette box and told him again :
Renee : papa, papa, dun smoke
Daddy : ok, papa is trying ok.
Renee : (with a stronger tone) dun smoke...
Daddy : why?
Renee : ermm becos it's dangerous, u see(pointing to the pic on the box), wait blood blood how, see aunty leg(duno how she get the idea that the diseased leg featured belongs to an 'aunty' lolz)
No Updates?
Some of you had asked why there's been no updates these few days, we're fine, thanks for your concern. Just having trouble trying to log-in to the internet since last week. Connection has been extremely slow and kept breaking whilst logged-in, so i've not been able to post any updates here. Only manage to try n do so now.
Singnet had suspected that a prog is blocking our surfing the internet and no, it's not our anti-vrius nor firewall - With this incident, I'm glad I've stucked to a 'safe' blog w/out putting up personal pics online :D
The Singnet guy will come over soon and hopefully by then, we'll know the reason/'culprit' and get the connection back.
So, stay tuned ya, Thanks!
