Mommy's Girlfriend's Big Day

Woke up at 4:50am and arrived at Vicky's @ around 5:50am(it was sooooo nice to drive in the early morning). As expected at most weddings' morning, the bride's not ready and after she's finally done and had taken her breakfast, we only got started at 6:20am(with the occasional vague disrruptions of the photographer which I personally don't like - even if it doesn't hinder too much with my 'work' :P). Good thing I've not lost the 'touch' yet(hahaha) and had got her fully dolled-up by 7am as plan. By the time her own personal 'photo-shoots'(with her relatives) were 'completed', the photographer was also almost done with his with Sam at the carpark.

Just as I was about to leave, I was blocked by the Bridegroom arriving at the door! hahaha. With Ee Lin(Vicky's sister) wanting to chop chop him at the door, I had to wait whilst the negotiation took place, :D. It was a short one though and I wasn't made to wait too long, phew, hahaha.

I got home at close to 8am and was received by an unwell daughter crying for me, her hands outstretched... Was comforted with her request for milk(as she's got throat imflammation and that had caused her difficult to swallow even water) and got her to sleep with me after she's taken her medicines.

I woke up at 11:20am and began to prepare her porridge which took a longer time(about an hour, with constant watching out and adding of water) to cook today as I've wanted it to be very soggy. Kept one portion in the Thermos container1 but had to transfer it to another Thermos container2(for rice and dishes type) when she refused to finish up the first 3/4 bowl... That's when I began my next frantic rounds of cooking and washing! Quickly, I started to 'boil' rice water(which she only took abt 90ml and I've to discard the bal 260ml at the end of the day) and remembering that she loves to drink soup, I hurriedly boiled some with ribs + sweet corn soup and put them into the Thermos container1(which Eileen told me that she didn't finish also...).

Renee had expressed her disappointment and eagerness to attend my friend, Vicky's wedding so I refrained from mentioning it to her when I told her where she and us would be going. She's to go to Eileen's place whilst I go to the hotel for the 2nd mission and daddy to his. As we were leaving, Renee even displayed her 'angry face' when I had to go back in to retrieve the 'wedding red packet' for daddy and complained "I cannot wait, I want to go now". With such eagerness on her part, who would have thought that she would tear when she got to Eileen's place...(luckily we've discarded the initial plan of her being the flower girl, phew!)

Later at night, I learnt from Li that more manja emotions were displayed by her at our mom's hahaha and to cut long story short, I've put it in point-form :D :

1) She had been crying the whole night at mom's place.
2) They told her drink water many times and she cried though she did drink at first.
3) When left alone to play('cos Li went outside to smoke - she insisted that I put up this 'reason' hahaha), she begam asking for me and cried again.
4) She took a paper plate, drew 'my' face on it....
5) She cried & cried, till she coughed. All 3 of my sisters(Ellen, Eileen and Elsie) had to serve her, pat her, hold the paper plate and told her to spit out but she said 'got my mommmy's face". When they all laughed, she had no choice but proceeded to spit out

6) During the time when they all sat down for their dinner, she again, being alone, 'curved' her lips, eyes turned red and went... "Where's my mommy" - Li's comment to this : "we cannot eat meh?" hahaha

When I got to the hotel, the bride was still not ready and good thing again, everyone(sam - just a little powdering and her mom) were ready way ahead of schedule :D. They all went down for the solemnisation whilst I stayed back in the room(missing their 'moment') to get myself changed and made-up, :D.

Daddy, whom had assumed(not listening again) that it's gonna be yet another traditional chinese dinner, got a shock when I phoned him at 6pm to ask if he's already on his way home to change. With the traffic jam, daddy only arrived after I've come down with Vicky from her change of gown...

The dinner event scheduled at 7:30pm, started at around 7:45pm?(can't remember exact timing). It's a good thing that the Singer they've hired had co-acted as their emcee, so when the hotel staff/banquet manager didn't do their job to announce the commencement of the dinner, he took the initiative to. His 'performance' kinda relaxed the atmosphere and he even made the couple danced! Actually, he had first made them sing for each other and then, he suggested that they both do a waltz. After which, he invited Vicky's father to dance with her and that was really sweet... Just a pity he didn't end it off with asking the bride's parents to dance with each other, I had thought that that would be really nice.

The rest of night went on smoothly with Vicky pretty much like a PRO, heee, and given the early start, she's able to ensure that none of her guests were being left out(without her greeting them personally). We wouldn't mind to stay-on till later to join the couple for a drink but we have to pick Renee up, so we bid them goodbye at 10pm...
Not much pics to showcase here though quite abit were taken(and I'm looking forward to look at those taken by the photographer):

Yes, finally, my dear friend is married, :D. Our heartiest congratulations once again, Vicky!

Princess' having fever...

Renee has made a 'sleeping pact' with us(more like her request hahaha) and that is she'll sleep with us on our bed on alternate nights. Last night being the night she's sleeping with us, her body had felt kinda 'hot' when I got in to sleep with her, at around 2am. It hadn't crossed my mind to take her temperature and perhaps administer some medical aid, alamak!

This morning, she indeed woke up with a fever(temp ard 37+ to 38 - different readings). I've had an appointment with the nail salon and I quickly prepared her lunch before heading there.

By the time I got home with our packed lunch, her fever has shot up to over 39degrees and I chided daddy for not monitoring her closely and he looked guilty... She didn't want to take her 2nd dose of paracetemol and as I'm also not sure if the time gap's ok for her to be given the Ibuprofen, I just put a patch for her and let her go for her nap.

As daddy's appointment's not til later, I told him to stay with her whilst I rushed to get something from Compass Point. She's already awake when I got back and asked again, to go to 'Fuo Tang'. So, we brought her there. After daddy's dropped both of us off, she said "I'm going to miss papa tonight..." and shortly after, she asked me to phone him(and he must be 'sim tia' as he just phoned to say that he's on his way home liao, hahaha).

She's still pretty 'active' and even asked me to cook both cai sim and brocolli for dinner hahaha, but the fever must have made her feeling lethargic 'cos she's sleeping now, on the floor, as I'm typing this post...

1st Violin lesson..... - missed?!

Sudden heavy downpour at around 2:15am, went to bed thereafter, woke up at 7:15am, went back to sleep. When daddy woke me up at 5mins to 9am, I still confidently told him that it's ok, I've set the alarm. But, 1 look at the clock made me jumped up! Quickly phoned Eileen but had to leave a text message when she didn't answer it. She replied ok to wait, so I gotta hurry. Finally managed to get to kovan market by 9:30am, phew...

The teacher's message came in at 9:07am - "Hi, today i cant make it cos I'm not feeling too well. Can we start next week instead.. sorry.."...

It's a good thing I hadn't reminded Renee that she'd be going for her lesson today and that the teacher's sms had came in early. But I guess she vaguely remembered, 'cos she asked "where are we going, mommy?" and when I told her nowhere, she said she wanna go 'gai gai', hahaha.

Daddy's got a last minute invitation to golf and I decided to stay home to rest and also, took the opportunity to figure out on what other options I have, should I decided not to go with this teacher. Well, her credentials are good but hey, 2 postponed appointments before the actual lessons've began? This certainly doesn't sound very promising but after going through my choices/options via notes and phone calls again, it seems that I am stucked with her, at least for the time being...
Anyway, my initial plan was to let her go with this teacher during the school holiday break and let her join a music school later unless this teacher proved to be very good for her. So, I guess, if she doesn't change our appointment next week, we'd still be going with her for now.

Meeting the bride-to-be

Daddy had gone for his yet another solo golf game this morning and the 2 of us slept past 9:30am hahaha.

After a quick breakfast, I began to prepare Renee's lunch after Vicky confirmed that we'd be having lunch outside after we're done with the fake eyelashes trial(to choose which of the lashes I've acquired from USA, would look best on her).

We went to North Point 'cos it's near Vicky's current home and we need to go back to her place to look at her re-selected gown. Wanted to try the food at Hong Kong Dim Sum cafe but it was sooo packed and we settled for KFC. Bought a single scoop of cookies and cream icecream from Galeto(?) to share with Renee before we proceeded to Vicky's. Before we left the mall, we went back to the stall 'Dong Dae Mun Seoul Street Food' where I pack some of their goodies back :).

Renee was busy playing with Vicky's nephews' toy car whilst we both busied ourselves with the gown and accessories fitting. Hmmm, wonder if Vic'd be able to change the accessories on time...

Tomorrow's Renee's first violin lesson! I'm quite excited about it and apparently, Renee's looking forward to it too(well, just hope that her enthusiasm would stay this way for a long long time....:D).

Paint work

I must have 'off' my alarm without knowing 'cos daddy woke me up at 8:10am and I quickly got up. We had planned to leave home by 8:30am so that we could reach the motor workshop early. However, we only managed to get there after 10am when we're done with our breakfast @ punggol plaza.

When we got home, we took a nap and I made a last min appointment with my hairstylist for my much needed hair trim(3 mths already). Daddy told me to go later so that he could just pick me up when the car's ready for collection but as I couldn't decide if I would be going for hair straightening, I kept to the appointment time and he sent me there.

As predicted, I only got a trim to tidy up the look(but my hair much shorter hahaha) and daddy told me to either go back myself or wait til when my car's ready, :(.

Not long later, daddy informed me that he'd be on his way soon to pick me up to collect my car! :D Later I learnt that Renee had fallen asleep beside him when he was woken up by the phone call(workshop guy) and he had to wake her up for milk before heading out. Geez, she must be sooooo tired 'cos as I'm typing this post here in the hall, there she is, falling asleep beside me on the sofa hahaha(good thing I've already got her to brush her teeth and pee lolz).

Princess' 1st Violin!

We were both woken up by Renee's "Papa, are you going back to sleep?" hahaha, thinking or rather, wondering what day it was today... Remembering that it's Sunday, I hopped up to make ham+cheese sandwiches for all of us. I guess she must be excited about meeting the teacher too, :)

Suddenly recalling that it's been a while since Renee's had her macaroni, I decided to cook it for her lunch which she got daddy to feed her thereafter. She managed to have her shower before we left for the violin teacher's premise - for her to 'interview' Renee personally and judge for herself if Renee's ready for the lessons.

It took us a few 'rounds' before we finally found her place(geez, it's pretty hot - her area) and Renee, whom had been prep-ed before that she has to be friendly to 'teachers', smiled and said hello to her when greeted, :). However, midway from the 'interview', Renee got upset, either due to the heat(as her room's air-con auto switched off) or that she didn't get to 'play the violin' as expected hahaha.

About the teacher/lessons
Alisa(or Allysa?) has 5 years of teaching experience and is currently teaching, most of her time at Ai Tong Primary School. Youngest student she's had is of 4 - 4.5yrs old and that makes Renee her youngest student I supposed. Also, she will be adopting both the traditional and suzuki method to teaching Renee.
As she's young, I'm required to sit-in with her, to pick up the 'teaching' so that I could guide Renee on her daily practice at home.
When we were leaving, I was asking how Renee should be addressing her and she said "Ms Mok"(great, 'cos teacher Allysa sounds kinda 'long' heee).

We were guided to go to the Gramercy Music(which we went after our lunch and...nap :D) to acquire our princess' first real-life violin. Renee was very happy and U should see how her face lighted up when the people there fine-tuned her violin - it 'makes sounds'! hahaha.

After we've paid for the violin, shoulder rest, book stand, suzuki music volumn 1, the lady whom had passed me the other merchandises, handed the violin personally to Renee and said : "Congratulations to you, here's your first violin". Renee hadn't want to take over the violin as many people were looking at her and she pretended that it was heavy hahaha, then when she was holding it, daddy said : "oh, should we take a picture?". I didn't bring my camera along, so I didn't response, heee. Anyway, I guess it'd seem a little awkward to do so as there were quite a number of people in the store, :).

Back home, Renee immediately tried to play the instrument and was quite sad 'cos she doesn't know how yet, but when I took over and managed to 'create' some sounds out of it, she was happy again. Not for long though and she began to fuss : "I don't know how" and we had to get her to keep the violin and told her she'll eventually know how to, after she's gone for her lessons.

From the videos of some children's performances, she's picked up on how the instrument's to be held- and yes, we've got the 'norm' sided one as alternative wld hv to be custom-made(and also not sure if teacher's ok to teach alt side anyway, most aren't...)

Oh ya, we've let her put on her new pair of shoes which fits juz nicely:

Playdate, Violin Instructress

Playdate
Rushed Renee over her lunch as we're meeting Janice and her son, Jerome at Compass Point. We planned for a sand art activity as this is the first time we've let the both of them play together and weren't sure if they would be able to do so amicably hahaha. However, we both ended with paint art instead when we got to the booth. Surprisingly, they both played pretty well and Jerome even held Renee's hand! lolz. There are 2 similarities among these 2 kds, can any of you guess what they are? :)

The finished artwork:

Violin Lesson
Earlier in the morning, I decided to give the agency a call to see if they would be able to help me find a suitable violin teacher(either we travel to the teacher's premise or pay more for home visits) and she's got 2 for me - 1 Chinese nationale residing at Novena Ville whom also wholesale violins and the other @ SengKang whom teaches music enrichment at Ai Tong Primary(have taught in Yamaha and Cristofori). The latter of course prioritise the list since it'd be less tedious for both of us with the lesser amount of time required on travelling. We've arranged for a personal 'review/interview' to see how suitable they are for each other.

A 'rushing' day...

Today's marketing day but daddy had to tell me last minute last night that he'd need me to follow him to Audi service centre as he'd need me to fetch him back. So, that meant an earlier wake up call's needed.

When I was almost ready, I went to wake him up but he said he'd better ring Audi SC up and informed them that he'd go down later so we don't have to rush(we? more like me rite?). Geez, why not tell me earlier and get it arranged this way in the first place? I could really do with the extra 15mins of sleep! And I didn't have to text Eileen again and again about the changes :{.

After we've got back home, daddy went out in my car and told me that it's quite unlikely that we'd be able to have his car back so soon as he needed them to do some extra checks but at close to 5, he said that he's on his way back and I'm to get ready soon to go with him to pick the car up, aiyoh. I've only just got the ingredients prepared for Renee's dinner and I've to turn down the power on the cooker for our soup and get ready to rush out again.

When on the way back, I suddenly remembered that I have to pass Sis something and I turned back to her place, hahaha. By the time I got back, Daddy was already back with our packed dinner and after setting Renee's food to cook, we had ours whilst Renee pouted hahaha.

By the way, here's her lunch for today(hv reverted to using the bigger sized plate for her meals)-

Music Schools/Teacher

Phoned a few branches of Yamaha schools but decided not to go to them since they all sounded arrogant no matter how neutral/friendly U(not them) started off with them.

Finally, got Seimpi School of Music @ Hougang Mall branch to arrange for me to speak to the 'normal' instructress, Ms Sabrina and she agreed! After Renee's finished her lunch, it was already 1:30pm(took her own sweet time again) and we rushed over. The moment her lesson's ended at 3:15pm, she took and checked Renee's hands after we've introduced ourselves. She later explained that it's just her habit to do so - to look at the chilren's hands/fingers, :D(guess this is quite common/standard).

She did mention that Renee's kinda young to start off on individual classes and suggested that I put her on the group classes as it'll be more fun for younger kids and also, with their MIM(Music for the Intelligent Mind) programme, she will be better equipped by the time she's more ready. The only problem is that the demand for violin group classes is really not there and I'm not inclined to let her join the piano's although she said that it will not make much difference as she herself also knew how to play the piano(but the MIM introduces keyboard and Kinderland already do that...).

The only forth-coming violin group class will commence in Jan/Feb '09 and will be conducted at the White Sands, oh man! I'm now on wait-list, for any such class opening at Hougang Mall or perhaps, an earlier class in White Sands(unlikely to go there, sian...). Gotta see how things go, meantime, will just have to continue my search.

When we were near home, I briefly told Renee that she won't be able to start her violin class anytime soon and she went : "Why? But I want...", geez...

Anyway, I've brought my camera along this time and managed to 'steal' some pics on the kiddy toilet! heee :

'Nothing Much' Day, :)

Had gone to bed at 1:30am but I only woke up at 10:30am this morning!(renee had climbed in again between us ard 3am hahaha).

Wanted to stay home and rot for the day but daddy needed me to run some banking errands, so Renee and I rushed off to Compass point around 4pm. Having pre-warned Renee about the 'no-shopping/playing', we managed to leave the mall after getting some groceries/necessities.

Finally received the hairclips I've ordered for Renee today! :)

Playdate at the Zoo!

The mommy slept late and woke up early but the main character(from this household) of this playdate slept early and woke up later hahaha.

Missed a turn on the way caused me to drive all the way to Woodlands and that caused a further 10-15mins delay and by the time we finally met up with Sharmaine and her girl Wae Shuen, it was close to 10am already. Renee was very happy to see WS and it's sooo nice to see the way their faces light up, especially when WS called out "RENEE!" - that was really heartwarming, :).
The other mommies whom Sharmaine had also invited were also nice ladies and one of them stayed near us, in Punggol.

We took the tram to the 'feed' the Kangaroos but we realised after a short wait that the feeding slot has been cancelled! Next stop, we went to catch the Elephant show and after which, the kids started to make noise about wanting to get to the waterplay immediately, hahaha.
Renee and Wae Shuen sharing snacks whilst watching the elephant show:

It began to rain as we were on the way there and the ladies decided to stop for lunch at a nearby KFC restaurant and soon as we're done with eating, the children began their own entertainment - playing with rain water and making alot of noise. Good thing the people around us were quite tolerant about children's noises, hahaha. > 1/2 hour later, the rain turned to a very slight drizzle and we decided to just let them go ahead with the waterplay since their arms were already wet(Renee's tights were wet at the ends too). Just look at how much they've had...

Our Sunday

We woke up late today, just before 10am, so I didn't get to try the new KFC breakfast. I had thought to stay home but Renee persisted about lunching out and suggested Hougang Mall, hahaha. Quickly prepared her lunch, we proceeded to Compass Pt instead and with luck, I managed to get a parking lot immediately I got to the carpark and we also didn't have to wait very long at Jack's Place, :D

A couple of hours later, when we were about to go home, I suddenly remembered that I'm supposed to get the replacement adaptor for our X'mas Tree and we went back up. However, both Metro and the DIY Home-Fix store were unable to help me and what's worse was that I'd have to go back to Metro again, to retrieve the adaptor they took from me and look for alternatives elsewhere. Renee was disappointed that the tree not being able to light up...

Daddy was already home when we got back and a while later, we went out again and I was told to drive to Suntec so that I'd know how to get to Conrad Hotel on Vic's wedding. Geez, it's chaotic leh, at the roundabout? Can I take a cab there, daddy? Haiz...

Noticing that Renee is able to swing the golf club with her right hand, daddy decided to guide her on this direction as it'd be easier to get clubs/accessories since it's so hard to find stuffs for left-handers in Singapore. And, we got her a Real Putter today! The iron is abit heavy for her but she's very excited about it, :).

Anyway, hope I would be able to sleep early tonight as I'd have to bring Renee to a playdate at the Zoo tomorrow morning!

Joyful Strings

2 weeks ago, I chanced upon the info of a violin performance at the Botanical Gardens and planned to bring Renee there to watch. I was still contemplating a few days ago as to whether to go for it as it means we'd be going to my mom's late again this week. So, when Eileen and Elsie told me that no one will be going down to my mom's this week, it gave us the free choice of going there without having to rush :)

We arrived late and contrary to daddy's prediction, the carparks were full(could be due to parents ferrying the performing children). Never knew so many people would visit the BG now(although I knew there had been some changes made to e place).

Renee had fallen asleep on the way and she was grouchy when I carried her up. Due to the rush, I had left the note at home, thus I had to try and figure out where the performance would be(especially when there's no one tending the information counter). Good thing I saw the words 'Sha Foundation Symphony Stage' on the sign and I recalled it to be the venue! As we walked on, we soon heard the sounds of violin which confirmed that we're in the correct direction. We'd need to go 'downhill' to get nearer to the stage but I wasn't certain that I would be able to do that with Renee(esp. with my bag and her stuffs in it), so I chose a spot where there's a sculpture and told her that we'll go down when daddy joins us. She, already grouchy with the 'disturbed sleep', was not very happy about the wait and so, she didn't quite enjoy the performance :(

Just look at the crowd!

The younger ones in yellow and red were from Mandeville music school

Took a few videos of their performances and here're the less 'shaky' ones :)

The basic Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - I like how it's being played on the Violins...

Whilst searching around the area for restaurants, Renee fussed that she's hungry but when we finally got to Tanglin Mall, she didn't want to eat 'cos she saw the play corner. Daddy was sooo angry that he said not to let her come back to the table. Not long later, she came to the table with some of the toys, but daddy told her not to come over since she doesn't want to eat. She indeed went back and played on happily, with the occasional look in our direction to make sure we're still around. When our food's arrived, she came back and I guess she's really hungry, 'cos she took the bowl I've requested for her and checked if there's food in it. Again, daddy told her angrily that she can go without food if she's sooo keen in playing. She stood where she was for a short while and after adjusting her shoes, she went back to play! Then a caucasian girl went to join her and I told daddy : "should hv just let her sit down to eat when she came just now" and he said "gotta let her learn". Although I know that she needed to be deciplined, my reply was : "ya, at this age? U think she would? In no time, she'll simply forget aboutt this 'lesson' when she sees toys again'(I mean, which kid wouldn't? unless u give them a really severe lesson that they'll remember, right?).

When we've left the restaurant, daddy asked if I would like shop around but I rather go back straight as Renee hadn't got a bite but daddy again, said she need to learn... On our way to the toilet, Renee told me she's hungry and though it's heart-aching, I told her that she'd have to go without food since she chose play over food. She began to sob and fell asleep again in the car. When daddy carried her up from the car seat, she woke up, remembered and I saw her tearing, as she walk beside her papa(usually he would just carry her)...

Back home, daddy began lecturing her and she cried... She came to me for comfort but not wanting to waste the efforts, I tried not to give in to her and not giving up, she 'climbed' onto my lap and pulled my arms around her(heeeee). I allowed her the comfort she needed slowly and when she's finally calmed down, I asked if she'd like to eat and when served, she gobbled up her macaroni. I wonder how long this lesson will last though... :D

Oh yes, our tree is up! :D

The Last Day of Pre-Nursery

Suuuper Sleepy! Had wanted to have an early night but ended up sleeping late last night, haiz...

After picking Eileen up from kovan market, I rushed home and another 'lucky' day, so I managed to get the papers for daddy again, :)

Good thing daddy's golf game's in the afternoon, and I got him to help me to cut/prepare the shaped, buttered sandwiches with cheese. Due to time constraint, we only managed to make 30 of them in heart/flower/bear shapes. Zhou laoshi commented : "oh, hao piao liang!" when I passed her the aluminium tray, heee.

Watching the children in the class party was simply heartwarming and soothing :).

The party food AND Q-ing up to go to the toilet for hands washing

More of mommy's shaped cheese sandwiches and Library Time for Renee!, hahaha

The children were asked to come forward to the buffet spread(provided by parents) one by one and those who can't wait after a while, started going to the table themselves hahaha. Renee was the 2nd or 3rd kid being called and needless to say, she asked for her mommy's sandwiches and before I left, I saw her went back for more. Our sandwiches appeared on some other kids' plates too, and that sure was a happy sight! lolz.

Went with Janice, Jerome's mommy to a nearby Mac for a quick bite and latte, during which we shared notes on the portfolio. Then, with Janice's itchy backside again hahaha, we went to check out 1 nearby PCF kindergarten. Oh man, I'm not sure how much better the newer establishments are/will be, but this one was messy, cramp and though the principal had said that she declined air=conditioned for the want of ventilation, I sure didn't see the desired result... Not when the Nursery, K1 and K2 are all in the same room!(and we're there when no children were there). It's sooo much like a small childcare establishment. The menu's a miserable 5day layout and it's repeated throughout the whole year!(I only remembered the 1st one on list, Monday, is - Sponge cake and dun recall any real 'full meal' kinda food indicated) and their 'kitchen' is also near to the 'class sections'. I guess it's really you get what you pay for kinda society we're living in, so much for government's subsidy...

Janice, whom holds a diploma in early childhood learning had asked the principal some questions and from one of them, we learned that her teachers mostly held diplomas by KLC, which is by Kinderland! This is the first time I realised that Kinderland actually has a training school for teachers!!!

A Non-School Thurs-day

It's the school's teacher & parent meeting day and as our slot's at 12:3pm, I could get Renee to eat her lunch first. Before we headed to the school, we detoured to collect the merchandises before heading to school(as requested by the spree organiser) - I've finally got her new spree mary jane, skorts, tops and they're sooo nice, hurray!

Got daddy to go with me as this shall be the 'last' T&P meeting and I thought it'll be nice for him to see for himself what took place during the session - which not much did actually lolz. Some general comments that I can recall are:

English Teacher :-
1) Speaks well - an example given by her was, once they were talking about shopping, Renee told her peers : "My mommy said we cannot go shopping everyday..." hahaha
2) Keen Learner
3) Like to be 'called' for role activity

Chinese Teacher(whom had been with her since day 1):
1) Perfectionist(observed during games) - just like what her PD had remarked when she's about 1yr old, she's one who would do something only when she's confident that she can do it well, no 'half-done' job for her. Well, will it stay this way when she grows older? Only time can tell...
2) Expresses herself very well(although mostly in English. :D)
3) Learns things fast

We certainly hope that she'll continue to be keen in learning and pick/absorb the knowledge up fast.

After dropping the stuffs at home, I took Renee out again. Had wanted to check out a music school at Hougang(near Heartland Mall) but we stopped at Hougang Mall first for a quick bite a Mac's. Feeling kinda lazy to venture out immediately, we went up to the 5th level of the mall - the children level(which I only knew about recently) they call it and there I saw Seimpi School of Music. Some enquiries and though this is a much smaller branch, we're looking at individual violin classes now, so the size of the branch isn't a big hinder. Even for beginner level, we have the option of a 'normal' or a master instructor(ress), with of cos, a higher fee payable for the latter.

Oh ya, on our way to the music school, we went to the toilet and they have a very nice and spacious children toilet there! I took some pics of it with my hp but don't think I'll be putting it up as I hvn't downloaded the handphone software hahaha. See if I have a chance to take the pics again wif my cammy next time.

Bought these(only S$1.90 ea) from one of the shops next to the music school:

With tomorrow being the switched marketing day, I'm sure going to be rushing like mad as I'd have to prepare shaped, buttered sandwich with cheese for the class party. Renee is finally eating cheese slices!!! She only takes cheese cubes in the past but today she tried when I gave her one slice from the packet. It was actually very funny, I had told her that we were not supposed to be eating stuffs til we've paid for them. Then she said she wanted more(even before she finished the first slice) and I reminded her that the cashier might query why we've eaten them before paying. She didn't comment to that but when we were near the cashiers, I noticed she's stopped eating and when asked, she just shaked her head 'no'. I asked again and she said : "the cashier...". Oh geez, this girl can really melt our heart, especially on times like this, hahaha! I told her that I was only teasing her and she can go ahead and finish up the rest, which she finally did, slowly, after repeated assurances from me...

And today, is the first time she's ever continued her sleep even when we've got home! She looked tired when I was unloading the stuffs to the car and once we moved off, she's fast asleep, haha. Usually on such situation, I'll wake her up as I'd need to carry the load but today, I decided to use the stroller. Either it was the stroller or she was really tired 'cos had I not wake her up an hour later, she'd have continued til later lolz.

SengKang Windy Land.. :D

Does this ring a bell? Heee... Well, the weather today/tonight sure brought on the Christmassy mood, especially with the occasion coming soon.

Today marks the unofficial end of 'school-day' for the year and for that, we were given the children's portfolio to bring home. This time round, I'll try to be less lazy but still, I'll just pick a few from only this term's to showcase here, else would be taking up too much of my time heee.

COS - Child Observation Sheet(T4), by the English Teacher

Individual Skills Checklists(T4)
Photos Time :

This is the activity that I've been trying to catch but failed...

I had thought that the windmill was a hand-made gift from the teacher,
but it turned out to be a class work haha

Amongst all of this term's artwork, I like these 2 the best :

Individual Skills Checklist/COS(T4), by the Chinese Teacher
(Noted teacher's comments, but dunno why leh, it's not like she doesn'tunderstand nor can't speak the language, like e.g. I saw her artwork of those 'job characters' and I asked her "what's Yi Sheng?" and she'll go "Yi Sheng is Doctor", "Shi Ji?" and she'll go : "Shi Ji is Driver", etc. At times, she'll also answer me like : "Bu Yao"
Perhaps, like what she said : "I don't like to speak mandarin..." - Guess will just have to keep getting her exposed to it and soon she'll do it willingly one day :p)

Ok, my eyes are popping out liao! hahaha, however, last but not least, the teacher's note(T4):
