Counting

Why am I still awake at this hour when I wanna try sleeping early these days?(kinda hard but trying, trying and still trying hehehe) I've just taken a look at some of the books her cousin has given her and found some ready for her exploration so I decided to prep them up for her(taking out the 'extra sections/attachments' that are meant for older aged or perhaps, teachers?) since the ones I've ordered may not be ready for collection anytime soon as I see it. And whilst I'm at it, I decided to put these 2 'forgotten' video/audio up for your listening/viewing pleasures.

Although Renee enjoys(when she's not in her 'bad' or shy mood hahaha) being video-ed/photographed, she still gets nervous whenever I try to record some of her singings/acts that some 'details' got mixed-up or forgotten hahaha, like this one :

Quite sometime back, I was surprised to hear her counting up to 20 'cos I don't think the school has started on it before we stopped her attendance - don't think it'll be taught even when she resumed next term since her level is only Pre-N(since they're not too academically pushy).
She's ok with the 12, but I'm still working with her to 'perfect' the pronounciation of THree,THirteen & FiFteen. She's getting there ... ^-^

TGIF

It's Friday again! Had thought to bring Renee to the library again today, so 1:30pm, I told her to go have her nap. As usual, without keeping her toys(sometimes I'll tell her to but usually I'll just leave it til after her evening clean-up, since she will still take them out for play again if she's kept them before her nap), she went to bed after brushing her teeth but instead of falling asleep, I heard her talking/playing/singing on her bed!
Whilst she's in bed, I took the opportunity to tidy up her toys + artwork stuffs and our writing desk(as daddy can really mess it up each time I tidied it) in the study and even after I've gone in a couple of times to urge her to go to sleep, she was still wide awake at 3:20pm! Given up, I made milk for her and decided to just bring her out.
When she came down from her bed to bring her bottle to the kitchen, she passed by the study(now 1/4 her play and art room) and still got the cheek to ask : "mommy, who keep my toys?" With that, I asked her to look around and told her that I want her stuffs kept that way when she does them, she replied : "ok" and looked around seriously ya, like real, but this evening, she didn't mess it up too bady - can't say that about tomorrow though but I hope she'll remember to keep them the way I did this afternoon(she does keep her toys/stuffs but most of the times, I'll have to remind her to do so). Talking abt this, kids are sure alot more vocal these days - on Wednesday, she still asked me not to mop the floor, simply because she was sitting on the floor keeping her toys!
I don't know what's got into her, but this girl's full of energy today! She sang and danced infront of the mirrors of the shops that we went to and in the dept store, she went around trying to play 'hide & seek' with me! Even though she was a little wary after she saw a boy crying for being lost from his mother, but she soon let go of her fears and it was sooo tiring just trying to get her to stay close to me.
Li came over shortly after we've got home and going into our storeroom, she commented : "wah, very neat". Yeah, I was the one who tidied the whole store-room up all by myself(while daddy's fixing the ikea furnitures) earlier remember? But recently when daddy put his golf bags back in, it got messy messy again and I've to re-tidy it up a few days ago. Daddy should appreciate this man! :D
This is abit off topic but why is our mail system sooo inconsistent? I thought on non-peak period, it'll usually take not more than 1-2 days for us to receive our local mail/post but at times, I could get them in 3-4 days' time? And today, when I'm least expecting it(but glad to), I've got my order of 5tubes of Renee's toothpaste in my mailbox and the lady told me that she's posted them out last evening...

Daddy's question &... a golf trip?

Daddy has been asking me almost every day if I'm going out(in the AM, so he can use my car) or I've gone out(in the evening) and last evening, he did the same again. When I told him no, he wasn't happy and said that I should have gone & get myself familarised with the routes or I could even do with some extra practices at the carpark...
Thing is, sometimes I just feel tired, especially when I still have to plan/get Renee prepared before we go out, it's not like those super few times that he's brought her out before - ok, put on yr shoes and go! And what's worser was, we've all woken up earlier yesterday as we went to fetch Eileen from the market and collect our foodstuffs... so I'm tired, so was Renee...*and what if I got stucked in some foreign place and she needed to use the toilet???*
Seriously, I would also hope that I can be really good with my driving(but hey, I've only been driving and not that often anyway, for a few weeks!) and most importantly, super good with the routes so I don't have to depend on him to sit in and direct me - guess in this way, he won't be sooo grouchy liao :P
So, this morning, being prepared, I had a good 'Yes' answer to daddy's ever same question hahaha. I had planned to bring Renee out to try a new route to Hougang Mall(yes, to the mall :>) but upon learning of his up-coming golf game in Batam, I told him it'll be a good opportunity for us to bring Renee along. Me and Renee could just laze around there, I don't mind... it could be a good 'trial' and opportunity to bring her on a 'trip'. However, she still hasn't got her passport made, so he told me to bring her to Punggol Plaza for a photo session and I did just that :)
On the way, I've prep-ed Renee about allowing the 'aunty' to take a photo of her, so that she can have her own passport to go on the trip with us... and when we got there, she was asked to stand on a high chair(me holding her of cos) and I told her : "ok Renee, give a good smile". She smiled awkwardly hahahahaha and I laughed, even the lady also couldn't help it and laughed though she was trying to control herself. Renee looked at us and I quickly told her : "ok ok, never mind, just give mommy a nice smile" and she went "how to smile?"(meaning : how should I smile), this time I laughed even louder and she got abit fedup hahaha. No choice, I told her I'm sorry and asked her to just try her best and I'll bring her to KFC(which she's given up her afternoon milk for) as promised.
However, her best turned out to be errrm, not very natural keee and so the lady kindly offered another 2 last shots... and I end up choosing the last pic - one of which she wasn't smiling(as suggested by the lady) but her eyes were looking down(she had always complained abt the flash, too glaring for her eyes and she must have thought that the lady's camera has the same flash light effect, thus she looked down when the lady clicked).
After we've collected the photos and CD-rom, we proceeded to Hougang Mall and she made noise : "arrrh, not here, I want popcorn chicken!", as she had thought that I was to bring her to Mcdonald's(cos that's where I brought her to the last time we went there) then she turned abit 'paiseh' when I lead her to KFC and told her : "look where we are now?"...
As we were out and daddy wld be home late, I've decided to pack some baked chicken wings back for Renee and my dinner. I finally persuaded her to eat them with the vege porridge that I've cooked when we got home but she didn't seem to take to the 'stickiness' of the honey which was glazed on the wings hahaha. So she ended up with a dinner(at 6pm) of vege porridge with only half a chicken drum and she asked for 2 slices of milk bread with butter and half a green pear...(oh, she also asked for another 2 slices which I only gave 1, after her >300ml milk at 9)
I hope that this time round, we'll really get to go with daddy... be it as short as a 2-days trip(even with nothing else for both of us to do hahaha, daddy had thought they were gg to Bintan and happily asked me to try book Club Med, luckily I have not! now just hope tt we cld get Renee's passport on time).

Playdoh and... PUB bill!

2 days ago, Renee suddenly remembered her playdoh set, requested for it and has been playing with it since. However, I decided to chuck it into the store again, after she started to dump bits of them(in various shapes and sizes, mostly tiny ones) all around our home,. Ya, I know some of you might say it's creative work but if I'm the one who has to pick them up, it's a no-no! (else I'll still be the one who has to keep bugging her to do so, it's tiring). She was still ok yesterday -remembering to keep them tidy but today's a mess, so in the store it went. Hope that all the artwork which I've ordered for her more than a month ago, can be collected soon so that she can spend some of her free time playing with them before her school re-opens after the sch holidays...

Oh ya, received our PUB bill today and I was shocked at the amount of S$180+!!! A solid increment of >S$50 as compare to our previous months', geez!
Actually, when the weather became cooler the past few nights, I've been asking daddy if we should switch back to non air-con at night else Renee might get too used to it and it's only today when I've told him about the bill that he's willing to do so, hahaha.

I was teasing Renee about it earlier and deliberately showing her the bill(for 'effects' only of cos) and I said to her : "ne ne, it's getting very costly and since the weather's not that hot, can we not switch on the air-con?"
Renee : "why?"
Mommy : "because it's very expensive, no money to pay how?"
Renee : "hmmmm..."
Mommy : "anyway, it's not good to sleep in air-con room every night, so don't on ok?"
Renee : *nodding her head* but 5 seconds later, "but wait I hot how?"(yeah, I know it's broken english but sometimes she just simply loves to imitate us adults and speak in this way :{)
Mommy : "I'll have the fan switched on for you ok?"
Renee : "Ok..."

And when I was telling daddy about the bill, he also teased her : "Renee, cannot on the air-con tonight ok?"
Renee : "but I so hot ar"
Daddy : "then do you have money to pay for the bill?"
Renee : "mommy, can you take my coin bank?"
Mommy : "....."
Daddy : "how much do you wanna pay?"
Renee : "take 1"(meaning, 1 dollar coin) hahaha
Daddy : "it's not enough"
Renee : "but I hot how?"
Mommy : "darling, you look outside the window, the leaves are moving, that means there's wind"
Renee : *looking out the window* "Oh yes, yes! It's windy! ok ok"
hahaha

A glove?

This is what she drew on her now favourite note book(it's actually quite nice to see that she still took it along with her when we go out) and when she showed it to daddy,
she said : "look, daddy, it's a glove"
Daddy :(taking a quick look) "oh, it's nice"
Renee : "can carry hot hot things"

Water Test and our bands :)

Decided to stay home today to do a little re-packing and thus, a good time to put the filtered water to test :)

Daddy had loaded his 1.2l tumbler with the water before he left home late morning and he came back telling me that the filtered water indeed tasted alot nicer( proof : tumbler emptied within the same day which he would normally take 2-3days to finish). Me, on the other hand, took a little time adjusting to but by the evening, after I've consumed more of the water, I had also began to appreciate its smoothness and I myself drank more water today than any other day - the urge to go for other types of drink(like carbonated drinks, juices, coffee) lessened.

Even Renee commented this about the water softener : "oh this shower is Good!" the moment she saw it when she stepped into the toilet for her shower today(her first trial was last evening, during her late clean-up), hahaha.

Another test was - cooking her porridge with the filtered water. On non-school days, I'll normally shower Renee first whilst waiting for her cooked meal to be cooled for consumption. And as I don't prepare those super watery type of porridge for her(not fulfilling enough), so it tend to 'dry up' by the time she came out of the shower. But today, not sure if it's really due to the difference in water, the porridge was just nice, still abit 'wet' and soft...
Oh ya, after a long wait for more than a month, we finally got our bands this morning. However, the 'to be re-made' ring of mine is still not ready(not even the design).

Water Filtration and Softener Installed!

Made a last minute appointment with my hairstylist and after a quick trim, I hurried back with packed dinner as we hope to be ready before Eileen's friend came over for the premise check and installation. Naughty Renee had promised to nap in her stroller whilst waiting for me at the salon but she was sooo busy keeping herself awake with 'reading the books' after she'd finished her cup of corn that she knocked out the minute we left Compass Pt's carpark. Usually when we got back, I'll carry her up from the carseat if she's asleep but today I'm just too tired and I've got hot food to carry, thus I woke her up and made her walk instead. She grumbled, hahaha.

They finally arrived at around 7:20pm and after checking here and there/in and out that all's ok to proceed, the installations were completed by 9pm(less than 2 hours!)

Here's how our kitchen look before :

This is where/how we placed the water filter dispenser initially:

But we later decided to shift it(think it's better here right?) - we wanted the black colour panel set but no stock :< :

A closer look :
(for child safety, they're required to add a sensor for hot water dispensing. we just have to put a finger lightly on the left corner sensor and place mug on the 'push' button for water):

Water Softener/Spa Water
(pity that we can only have this installed in the master bedroom shower, otherwise all the water in both toilets would be filtered and softened with also the hot/cold option :<)
Hurray, no more 'water chores' for me!-No more pouring water into the kettle and waiting for it to be boiled before storing into the hot flask & transferring the 'older' water into the pitcher for room-temperature water for consumption And no more washing of the kettle/flask/pitcher! :)
Daddy decided to just have the filter water dispenser switched on 24hrs 'cos the constant switching on/off will actually spoil any electronic stuffs faster. Better this way too, 'cos though it'll only abt 5-10mins for the water to be really hot again when left unplugged overnight but at times, we need to make milk Immediately for the princess hahaha. Anyway, they have tested on its energy consumption and with its energy saving feature, having it switched on 24hrs for a full month is even cheaper(an additional of about S$10) than what a normal hot/cold water flask dispenser would cost(hmmm, I must remember to check/compare my future PUB bills to confirm this...)

The weekend II

When our cleaner left at 5pm, we went to Orchard. Actually, we didn't have anything to go for in town and this trip's more for me to get familiarised with the routes, so I was the driver today - my first drive to Orchard Road! :D

I would say driving down to this part of town is a 'challenge' to an inexperienced driver - fast moving vehicles and many 'connecting points' at the highway(TPE, CTE) to watch out for, many vehicles and impatient drivers in town, traffic jam, etc, etc.
We parked at CK Tangs(I found out today that there're actually 2 exits at Tangs building - 1 to scotts road and the other is this nutmeg road's but they will both lead to the same place except that the one via nutmeg road is much 'narrower' but shorter. Most wld choose the scotts road one I suppose) and as usual, daddy told me to go via the nutmeg road exit(cos he see no point going one big round to the same location) and there was some road construction going on directly opposite the exit(there always seem to be some road construction there, I dunno why) and with the machinery stationed sooo near the exit, it was almost impossible to get out(well, perhaps at least for me hahaha), good thing daddy's beside me, *phew*, so with a little 'guidance' from him, out to the road we went...kekeke

Oh ya, a bully honked at me at the exit though. How was he a bully? Well, he honked just right when I was slowing down my car for the scanner to read my card and for the barrier to be lifted up! Daddy was very angry and turned to stare at him and gave him a palm up(signalling 'what's this?' 'cos if it's my fault, like too slow/fast or whatever, he wld hv tipped me off, so this guy's really too much) hahaha.

Overall, it's an good experience, to me :)

The weekend

Met up with Eileen yesterday at her friend's place to take a look at/test out the water filters which her friend's distributing. Ermmm, both daddy and I couldn't really taste the difference of the water hehehe, probably we aren't great water drinkers to begin with(but I like its microscopic ultra filtration filter of 0.01 micron and most importantly, its removal of chlorine). However, both of us felt the difference in water filtered via the spa softener(for bath/shower). The water felt sooo soft and I can't help but noticed the difference on how the skin on my left hand(that's touched the spa water)felt, compared to my right hand.

We(or rather me hehehe) are looking at these filter systems:

1) The kitchen counter top Hot & Cold water dispenser - I've heard that so far, this is the only brand that's got this(not sure but perhaps there may be others soon, 'cos its convenience is sure appealing) and I like it 'cos it'll diminish the hassle of having to boil hot water in a kettle/jar and pour them into a flask(I'll seriously appreciate this when we come back from late and I've tons of things to 'attack') and the voltage is lower than the normal electrical flask dispenser. Another good news we were told yesterday is that she has just recently brought in a model that does not require a 'storage tank' within the dispenser(but will cost more though), but I like it already! 'Cos that will better ensure fresher clean water(especially when one/family has to go overseas) and the best part is we don't have to fill it up ourselves like the normal ones and I don't have to worry about whether to clean up its tanks(even though they're using high grade stainless steel, to prevent contamination).

2) The Water Softener(with the filter system)- good for skin

3) The Shower Filter

4) The 'Electronic Bidet' - the butt washer/dryer hahaha but was told that it might be a bit too bulky for HDB flats' non-concealed toilet bowls... Saw the manual one but find it redundant since we've already have hoses fixed up - but it'll be good if our toilet bowls are lower and Renee is able to go on it on her own, then she could use the manual wash to wash herself lolz.

However, as all our pipes are fully concealed, we're all not sure if it is possible for us to have these set up at our premise, thus we've arranged for them to come to our flat for a check tomorrow evening. To save time, I've also requested her to check her office/warehouse on the availability of what we would like(we have decided on items 1[the one w/out storage tank]and 2 listed above) and bring them along when they come over so that they could also have them fixed up if ok to. Hope she'll give us a good discount hehehe :)
It was already half past 5pm when we left her place and partly feeling lazy, we decided to just pop over to Hougang mall for a quick dinner. Elsie & Li came over there after and Renee's very happy that her aunty Elsie has got her 2 sticker + colouring books - Dora's & the Prinesses'. She's 'done' with all the stickers by this morning btw... Must get her another proper sticker book and get her to stick all her stickers there, and not on the books! On top of what she's got from Elsie and the small note book she made me buy for her on Friday, she also made Elsie gave up her new note book last night hahaha.

Today, as I was about to shower her, I suddenly recalled the photos we saw last evening, of her in her longer, curly hair and being one who likes to see 'changes', I decided to give her a trim - not the length 'cos it's still short but to sharpen the edges :) I hope I've done enough to make a difference(though it may not show very obviously now, but it may when it grows longer. Nvm, shall see if it needs any further trimming by then :D).

Audios

Since Renee's started Pre-N, we(more me though...) began to speak mandarin to her more often. She has since able to answer the 'yes, no' to my question. But as usual, kids picked up the no part faster hahaha.
One day, quite some time back, she was on her naughty gear and so I told her : "If you're still so naughty, u'll go stay with uncle gar gar, we don't want naughty girl. U so naughty, bu yao ni" and she went :

A day at the Library

Not knowing where to go to again, I brought Renee to Compass Point as I've promised to bring her to the library today. We spent quite a good hour in the library and she had took to my telling her that it's not right nor nice to take sooo many books at one time. But a while later, she kinda forgot and began to take more & more books! I hope she'll kick this habit out soon...

We seem to have many companions at the library this afternoon hahaha. First, it was this little boy, aged ard 1+ to 2 yrs old, came to sit down with us at the bench table when his mom went off to get him some books. He got fascinated with my reading to Renee that he kept 'intruding' and repeating what I told Renee hahaha. His mom apologised for the 'disturbances' a few times(cos she left him there with us a few times!). Good thing Renee was in a very friendly mood today and she was ok with the 'dee dee', even shared 'her books', guided him, etc, when she normally prefers 'jie jie' lolz. I'm fine with the boy's participation but the mom had to bring him out of the library shortly 'cos he bent under the table, got his head stucked and cried his lungs out! He stopped for a mere few seconds when Renee pacified him and told him to "don't cry, stop crying" but he wouldn't stop thereafter, so....keke, quite cute.

Then came another girl, about 2-3yrs older than Renee, joined us at the table and though initially quiet, she began to take over some of the books Renee had selected. I gently asked her "where's your mom?" and she just answered me, with a finger pointing behind her "there, with my brother".
It wasn't that I minded her sticking around with us(though Renee was getting alittle frustrated with her always taking her books away the min she put them on the table). I was ok with it till she started to lean really close to Renee(almost taking over her 'position') and gave me all the answers whenever I asked Renee about the things we saw from the books, and I meant "ALL". So I asked her again "where's your mommy" and she replied not very nicely : "there lah" and gently I asked : "why don't you go join your mommy?" and she replied "Don't Want!" - I give her the benefit of doubt that she may be unhappy with the fact that I stopped her(nicely though, she's still just a young girl afterall) from continuing to answer on Renee's behalf that she responded this way...

Finally, Renee requested for a ride on the 'Barney & friends car' and I meant a 'Real Ride'! She asked for a coin when normally all she wanted was just sit on the machine and 'pretend play' there.
When she was younger, my sis, Li had put her on the same 'Barney & friends' car(different mall) and she had cried the moment it started moving and my sis was angry that she's wasted her 2 dollar coins hahah but today, she even offered to wait a while' for her Barney car ride 'cos a younger girl was on it.
In my memory, she's had one 'real ride' last year when we met up with her ex GUG playmate at Paragon and with her friend, she was more willing to try even though she clutched at the handle so tightly and thereafter, she still stucked to 'no mobile rides' but today's the beginning to more rides to come in the future(daddy said must control her on this, only one ride and I agree...).

A compassionate/kind-hearted little girl II

We came home early today and were watching the 6pm CSI when we 'witnessed' a scene where a group of young schoolgirls bullied a boy, took a picture of him naked and put him to shame by distributing the photo. The nice boy, unable to face the humiliation, almost took his life by hanging himself. It's a very sad scene and I turned to tell Renee that it's not right to bully people like that. At the point when the detectives were rescuing the boy from the hanging rope, Renee asked me about it(cos she saw my sad expression, I supposed). so I briefly explained it to her and seconds later, she pouted and her eyes watered, awwwww...
I hope her kindheartedness will stay forever with her...

Oh ya, Eileen heard from me yesterday that Renee loves to eat chicken wings now and she was a little 'shocked' haha. Then she said that she'll be cooking them today and asked us to come pick some up. She packed 20pcs for us and Renee waited impatiently at home for them just now hahaha. I told her that she can have 2pcs if she drinks alot of water and she negotiated for 5! I told her, it's either 1 or 3 and she had no choice but to choose 3 hahaha. But she did drink quite abit of water :> (else I won't give her 3pcs). When daddy finally came home(cos he had detoured to some place to do some work 1st) with the chicken wings, she was sooo happy that she's forgotten our deal and said she wanted 5pcs! I repeated the same thing and she end up with the same choice again hahaha.
However, she did not finish the balance of the water left in her tumbler and knowing that she won't for the time being, I cut up some apples. She rejected it initially but after the first bite, she realised it's the type that she likes and asked for more... geez, choosy!
The way she chews at the apple bits tells u that it's really yummy!(tweety bird?) - but be warned, the ending can be abit 'disgusting'(she did that on purpose when she realised that I was video-ing her) but surely some of u could guess from whom she's picked up that 'action' hahaha:

Audios

Kept forgetting about this audio heee. Presenting 'teacher Renee'...

Daddy seemed to have really taken a liking to 'my car' as he's been asking me practically EVERY day, if I would be using it. I told him to take it yesterday, he didn't but no luck today, 'cos I've decided to chuck my laziness aside and took Renee out for a little 'outing' today, hahaha.

I've not known where we'd be going to, but was glad that we've started out early, 'cos when we got to the car, I realised that I needed a pair of scissors to cut off the tag hooking the car seat's belt and buckle together. So, grabbed my bag, switched off the engine and went back home for one... It took me another 35mins to re-setup the carseat, adjusting the headrest, the harness and strapping it back. Even just half way through, I was perspiring like mad and so you can imagine how hot I was by the time I've finished and the air-con's on! Boy, what a great relief I've felt at that moment! hahaha.
Renee was very good, seeing that I was working on the carseat like a mad woman, she didn't fuss and obeyed when I asked her to wait inside the car and trial-sat on the seat for my adjustment :)
Again, she asked to go to Rivervale Mall haha but I decided to take her to Hougang Mall. We walked abit there after snacking at Mcdonald's and she was very happy with a little rabbit toy and her mini ice-cream stickers that I've got for her from Mini-Toons. She asked to go to 'aunty pc house', so we went there to rest our feet and having caught the scent of 'sweetcorn' soup my sis had boiling in the cooker, she asked for some :)

By mistake, I've bought duck rice(brown coloured one) with extra order for our dinner(mine had 'charsiew' to share with her) and I was sooo afraid that she'll reject it like the first time. But after some 'talk' to her on the way back, she willingly took the first spoonful and loved it! *phew*

After dinner, a little family time proved her love/support for mommy again :) *sooo happy* hahaha.
Ok, here goes... Usually, a little teasing/bickering btwn daddy and me will lead to us 'hitting' a little on each other's arms and when she saw it, I'll pretend to cry and said that 'daddy bully mommy' and daddy will go : 'because mommy is so naughty, if renee is naughty, papa will beat u too'. Renee will then go : "papa, you cannot beat mommy ok".
She will usually start off in a commanding tone but quickly soften towards the end of the sentence(for fear of being punished as well) and 'requested' for her daddy not to bully mommy hahaha. But when daddy scolded her, she looked like she was about to cry as well, awww.... Of cos I'll tell her that she cannot talk to her daddy in this way whilst giving her an appreciative hug and she's ok liao :D.

Oh, speaking of this, I recalled something of the same effect today in the mall's toilet. She was asking why daddy did not fix up the carseat properly and I told her : "ya, mommy's going to scold daddy for not doing it up, u can also ask daddy".
Her reply : "but I cannot scold daddy..."
hahaha
Me : "yes, good girl. of cos you cannot scold daddy, but you can ask him nicely why he didn't fix up the car seat" ^-^

Going Green

Are we really ready to go green? We were firstly encouraged and slowly, supermarkets are introducing a certain day of the month - a bagless day(well, you just have to pay 10 or 20cts to get yr bag though) but I don't see us being fully in force with it yet. I guess old habits die hard, and just take me for an example, I'd now try to carry my eco-bag(even bought one purposely for it)whenever I go grocery shopping but I'll still have them bagged before I placed them into my bags. You ask why?... Well, that's because I remembered that I'll still need the plastic bags for my trash! Hmmm, this gave me another thought : supposed we really did it - that is, to do without the shopping bags, then we'll all have to buy our own trash can/bin bags right? Will that still be effective to the campaign?

Why this topic? hee... simply because I've been getting free eco-bags(but why they're alot nicer now, only after I've bought a presentable one???) and these 2 are the most recent ones which we've gotten from the retailers @ Tampines Mall :
U can see the back print of the back shown in the card attached to the bag

Pinky Car Seat! ^-^

We had failed to get the desired high back carseat in April, but a quick email to their HQ got me the info that the new shipment will arrive in Mid May.
And though I've left my contact info with Mothercare @Centrepoint then, I suddenly had this hunch and called them today. Sadly, they said that they've not got them yet but the good news is - the stock's in their warehouse already, hurray!!! Excitedly called up a couple more branches and finally found it available at Tampines Mall branch - it's the only outlet that's got it, and there's only 1 new piece which has arrived only last week! Geez... Needless to say, I've got them to reserve it immediately hahaha.

Today's Vesak day, so we brought Renee to Fu Hui Buddhist Temple before heading down to Tampines Mall where she napped in the stroller for more than an hour... :)
Like always, it's sooooo packed at this mall and if it's not for the carseat, honestly, we wouldn't think of going there. What's worse, we were made to pay double carpark fees! - the scanner couldn't scan the card from Daddy's car at the entrance and made him press for a ticket which he has to pay for, prior leaving the carpark. But after he's paid S$4+ with the ticket, the exit scanner scanned for the card and beeped for us to insert the card again and then, it deducted another S$2, this is Ridiculous!!! As expected, no one came to the 'call' when we pressed for help... "_"

In any case, we...or rather Renee & me(heee) were happy 'cos we've finally got the BEAUTIFUUUL pink colour car seat. Info extracted from the web : 'Side-impact protection with head cushions. Converts to a booster seat for an older child. Easy to adjust headrest and harness. Chest and buckle pads. 5-point, 1-pull harness'

I've anticipated that Daddy will attempt to have this carseat for his car and so, I've got Renee ready to join me in retaliation hahaha. We both insisted that this piece MUST go to mommy's car and daddy has no choice but to stick to the old one which he complained will leave a marking on the new leather - so, for his benefit, I'll try to get him the carseat undermat... men! Actually, for fear of the mark the carseat would leave, he had initially wanted to just get a booster seat and insisted that I have the 'old' one. Not that I would mind taking over the existing one but since we'll need to get another one, I would rather take this 'cos it's lower. The 'old' one, being a fix-on carseat, is higher with its base and I'll hv to bend myself each time I carried her up/down the seat. So u can imagine how bad my back's gonna be if I were to do that at least twice a day - that is, going to and coming back from school... What's more important is the consideration of safety(as below pointers). I had almost caved-in 'cos he was black-faced then. But after some thoughts, I persisted and for the safety of our child, I'm glad I did :)

Here're some added important pointers I've gathered and hope to keep in mind :

*It is recommended that babies are positioned rearward-facing for as long as possible. Rearward facing seats offer the best possible protection to the smaller baby. In the event of a frontal impact the rearward facing car seat supports your babies' head and neck. Use a rearward seat until your baby reaches the maximum permissible weight and can sit up unaided. NEVER position a child on a passenger seat fitted with a front airbag. Airbags are designed to protect adults but can seriously injure or even kill a child. That a 5-point harness is ALWAYS used up to 18kg/40lbs (approx. 4 yrs). It's tempting to move your child to a seat without a harness for convenience but a 5-point harness provides much better fit and protection than an adult seatbelt. Highback booster seats, your child will fit a HBB much better than a vehicle's seat and will therefore be more effectively restrained and protected.

*Use the car seat for every car journey, however short.

*Check the harness is firm. You should be able to get only two fingers between the straps and your child's chest.

*Etc, etc...

Sunday

I was sooooo sleepy when we got home on saturday night that I almost dozed off on our sofa, but after tucking Renee to bed, I suddenly felt awake and stayed that way even after the tv movie's ended at 12am. What happened? Finally, reading my book help me to drift into dreamland again and I think I've finally fell asleep around 1:40am. Daddy woke up at 5am+ to ready to go for his golf game(yes, again...) and I suddenly woke up at 7am! Waiting for my darling girl to wake up and ask for her milk since she's gone to bed early the night before but this girl decided not to. I was surprisingly pretty awake but when I was finally going to resume my sleep, this girl has to get up and ask for her milk at 9am!!! Aiyoh!!!

Cleaner came earlier again today and we went to Suntec City for our dinner at.....guess? Correct! - Tony Romas! hahaha. Had thought to go for a little 'shopping' after dining but buying Renee's stuffs took up most of our time(due to the que) and we had to head home right after we've got her sandals.

Went to Carrefour and found Rubbermate's bottles which I've been searching for awhile now. I was just wondering to myself how nice it'd be if they have a cover on top 'cos it's actually quite 'open' with just the straw flapped down as being 'closed' and I was glad that their latest versions do have the covers!
As always, Renee wanted the pink coloured one but it's of another range and has got no straw, so in the end, she chose one in babyblue clr(same design as the one she had before but in bigger capacity, 473ml and with the cover). But in my forgetful mind-state, I got daddy to change it into the dark yellow colour one later, 'cos I've forgotten that the bottle holder we had is pink colour!! The babyblue would look nice with the holder :(
Got some jellybeans for her too. Was surprised that she liked it when she rejected the vitamins gummies(she didn't reject the norm gummy earlier). But daddy wasn't happy - saying that I shouldn't have let her try the beans as she'll keep asking for them in the future. So far, I've only given her one and it seems like she's worn off the desire to eat them. GOOD! hehe hope it stays that way...

We finally found a pair of sandals in her size at Royal Sporting House, but what puzzles me is that it's in size 8. The other pairs of shoes/sandals/slippers that I've got for her much earlier were also in size 8 but none fit as good. '???' Anyway, put them side by side and took a pic to show u what I meant :

(oops, the only 1 pc sandals on the right's mine hahaha, just realised it's of the same colour as the one we just got for her!) - Ey, it somehow didn't show the size difference very well here hor? Hmmm, perhaps I should take the pic from the top.....

oh ya, noticed I've been tying up her fringe this way like I used to when she was younger? Here's today's:
(it seems like I've to hurry up on the bows that I intended to make for her!)

Here are the simpler clips I've made for her :

To the Zoo!

We indeed made it to the Zoo today, finally. Our 3rd visit there so far even though we're the Zoo friends members - not really putting its membership fee to full use tsk tsk tsk...Told daddy we should try to go a few more times during June, before its expiry hahaha.

No gathering at my mom's today but we thought we could still have dinner with her after the zoo but she told me not to, over the telephone last night. However, we still decided to go over hehehe, so I called to check if she's home when we're done at the zoo. As usual, she grumbled about having already told us not to go over and yet we still want to but she still agreed to go dinner with us hahaha.

Mom had sorta hinted to us to go somewhere else for dinner but as we were tired, we only went to the restaurant downstairs her block but we still had quite a good dinner. Renee even wanted to take pics of the food again hahaha.

Just some pics to remember the day by: -

Not sure if it's the same Otter, but it seems like 'It' always performed this stunt when we were there lolz! - Backward somersault
The White Tigers
The Kangeroos(2 of them even got into a fight just as we're leaving e vicinity). Had wanted to pay for Renee to feed them but she didn't dare to...
When we were heading towards the Baboons area, we were teasing each other about whose relatives' are they and Renee said 'aunty li li', when she saw them, ooops hahaha
Our Zoo visits were usually very short(max 2-3 hrs) and this time round, we caught e Amphitheatre show(again I think, hee) and Renee really enjoyed the show though she had threw a tanthrum earlier over ice-cream
At one point, daddy had to use the toilet and she wanted to keep going, so she got angry when I stopped pushing her stroller forward and took pic of her that she covered her eyes. Some caucasians saw & kept laughing at her - she does look like a big girl in this outfit huh?

Renee's first 'scenary' shots

Our dear princess has knocked out almost immediately on my lap(yes, a 'Friday indulgence' - the privilege to fall asleep on mommy's lap hahaha) and daddy went in to join her an hour later - now, leaving me to 'tong' to hang up his laundry arrrghhh - well, I might as well update the blog in the meantime.

Ok, storytime - It could be due to my telling her not to wake up too early this morning as I'm going to bring her out early that this happened :-
At 7:45am, I heard her saying : "please make milk milk for me, I so hungry". I looked at her from my bed and saw no 'movement' nor see her sitting up on her bed, I decided to 'ignore' her. Then 5 mins later, I took a peek at her but she seemed to be still asleep so I went back to bed. Shortly after, I heard her 'shuffling' on her bed and I was on stand-by mode to get up and make milk for her anytime. I was even contemplating if to make milk for her then and there, get her to pee and try getting her to sleep again on our bed but I opted to wait... Finally, just as I was about to fall back to sleep ard 8:30am, she fussed and angrily/frustratedly asked for her milk - her daddy did it hahaha but I still got up anyway :(.

Met up with Jen & Jean at the library(they were there earlier & I've to drop off 1 of my books) and we headed to Jack's Place for our lunch. Renee had initially held back though I can see that she'd like to play with Jean but I guess she remembered the 'rejections' she's got at Jean's birthday(Jean has got tooo much distractions and friends/relatives around then), so she did not 'approach' immediately til it was near end of our lunch and by the time we got to Cold Storage to get our stuffs, these 2 girls were already happily running/playing around :D.
Have got some nice shots of them together to remember this 'rekindled friendship' too :)

Though I'm not meeting the other gf, I've told my sis that I'll go pick up the foodstuffs from her ard 1-2pm, so we have to bid Jean and mommy goodbye. It's such a pity I don't get to taste the chocolate cheese cake Jen's going to bake! Hope we could have a longer time for the girls to play with together the next time round.

Renee was such a darling today and though she dozed off in the car whilst on the way to Eileen's, she managed to stay awake on our way back :)
And again, she said when we arrived there: "oh I forget to bring the cd again" - she meant her fav VCDs lolz

She got hungry when we got home and after I've cut and boxed up the foodstuffs, I quickly took some fresh ribs and boil it with the codfish bones to make a quick dinner of kuey tiao soup for her - she loved it!

Daddy came home shortly and we went to Punggol Marina Club for our dinner. We dined at the new seafood restaurant(which took over the one we used to frequent) and Renee, having been given the camera to try out recently, was busy snapping away, at the food, the trees, the boats, etc etc. At one point, she even said loudly : "Oh nice cherries, it's a cherry tree" hahaha. No no, they weren't cherries but when she asked, we both couldn't give her the answer and she went to ask the waiter but he gave her a even funnier one - red flower hahahahaha.
This is the fruit :

The shots she took - she still can't hold the camera very well esp when she pressed on the button, so some quite blurr :-
Deliberately leaving her daddy out of the picture, she took this

This is where people go for prawn fishing - remembered we recvd its leaflet few days ago...

We took a stroll after our dinner and after many shots, daddy told her to return the camera to me. I had thought that she'll throw up a tanthrum but instead, she started to pretend taking photos with her fingers hahaha:

Long weekend

TGIF! And it's gonna be another long wkend for the year!

Earlier this week, Jen has invited me & Renee(of cos :D) to the Bird Park as she's got passes but I'm supposed to meet up with another gf whom has yet to confirm her date with me. So, in order not to miss the opportunity for Renee to meet up and 'rekindle' her friendship with Jeannieve, I decided to go ahead and meet Jen & Jean for lunch instead today :)

When I first told daddy about the bird park invitation, we were both reminded that our Zoo friends' membership would be expiring soon and we've only been there twice!(briefly) and so he suggested taking the day off to bring us to the Zoo... However, just as I've expected, he told me earlier that he couldn't go as he needs to attend to some work - good thing I've not pinned hope on this and gone to cancel all my meetups lolz.
Daddy then suggested going to the Zoo on saturday morning or before we head to our mom's - we'll decide on that later.

It's gonna be a long day today if my gf is really meeting us, so I hope my dear girl will not wake up early later...

Extras?

Sometime back, Renee's been asking for milk after her dinner even though we can feel that her tummy's full! Hadn't she had enough - which is quite unlikely since her tummy's rounded or she simply just wanna 'suckle' milk?(cos she's still drinking from the milk bottle).

What I did a few weeks back, was to give her abt 100-120ml of milk when that request come about and I'll give it to her in a smaller bottle which she can still even giggled about initially :).

This morning, Sis asked : "did Renee wake up early again?" and yes, Renee woke up at 8am after having gone to bed only around 11pm last night! So, I made her nap early this afternoon(ok, I'm also tired so wanna nap too keke), right after our lunch.
And after waking her up for her milk ard 2:15pm, I took her out to Rivervale Mall - well, it's actually her choice of place... We had KFC popcorn chicken again(good thing they hv e new toy already today - the pink colour helicopter) but I made sure she didn't eat too much. We were roaming abt in the mall when I met a long-time friend and we chatted for a while before heading home.

When we got home, I decided to cook her fav combination - kuey tiao + macaroni and with the spinach & meat, the portion reached the rim of the bowl. Yet, she asked for her milk shortly after her dinner!

Daddy was delayed last min and so we ended up having 'tapao-ed' nasi bryani just now. The minute Renee saw me eating the chicken she went, "mommy, what you eating?"and insisted that I TELL her when I asked her to guess hahaha. Then she complained to her daddy that he's bought the 'wrong thing' - spicy chicken LOLz.
Not happy that she can't eat the chicken, she asked for the cheese cubes, the whole box even! But of cos I didn't oblige her and she's eating 1 now :)

Oh before I forget, when I carrried her out of the carseat just now at the carpark,
Renee: "mommy, what's your car call?"
For 1 moment, I was wondering if I should 'create' a name haha, but instead, I told her : "oh, it's Citroen"
Renee : "and papa's?"
Mommy : "Audi" and after a quick thought, I asked her : "and Renee's?" but before she could answer, I did : "oh I know, it's yellow yellow, dirty fellow"
Renee : *grinning*
This is what her daddy like to tease her with whenever she talked about 'her car' being in Yellow colour.
hahaha

Chocolates? and...

Renee was playing with her daddy just now and she suddenly turned to look at me. I was wondering why, when she asked to 'go pass urine'. It was from what she 'asked me' when I carried her up to the toilet seat that I realised its reason :).

I had taken a pc of chocolate from the fridge and popped it into my mouth. She must have seen me chewing and so,
Renee : "mommy, I only ate one"
Mommy : "what did you eat only one?"
Renee : "chicken wing"
Mommy : "oh ok, that's good, don't eat too many, you've been eating quite abit lately"
Renee : "errrm mommy, what you eating?" (I supposed that chicken wing 'confession' was a start to what's coming haha)
Mommy : "nothing..." (opened my mouth to show her that there's really nothing, else she won't give up asking)
Renee : "but just now I smell something sooo nice, like chocolate"
hahahahaha

The 'and...' part - When the weather had turned warm weeks ago, I relented to daddy's suggestions to switch on the air-condition and it indeed helped Renee to sleep much better and she didn't wake up till 9 or 9:30am.

However, it seems like lately, she's been skipping her afternoon naps most days(which would normally cause her to knock out by before 9pm but it's not so for the past few days!) and she'd drag her bedtime till 11pm but wakes up as early as 7am+! Geez... What makes it worse is that she's now 'tall' enough to reach for the door knob and has been opening the bedroom door herself! Many a times, I would be waken by her milk requests, errm, more like demands and I'll try to get her back to sleep with me/us. But with this door opening ability, no way! She would happily open the door, go to her toys, and soon...she'll be asking to 'pass urine'. So, I'm not able to 'coax' her back to sleep anymore, arrrghhh...

Helping out

It has been quite awhile since Renee's been helping me to take down the laundry and folding them(basically hers and occasionally, her daddy's underwears lolz) and I thought it might be a good idea to record down some of her helping-outs, so that in future when she declined to render help when she's much older, I can show them to her :).

Here're videos of Renee doing/folding her own laundry. Tried to load up the original one last week but I guess it's too large to be uploaded here - wasted so much of my time! Here're the 'retake' versions hehehe:

No posts? MIA?

No no, not MIA, still here... just thought to wait till I have something on the 'main character' of this blog, before I update hahaha. Though this is a 'family blog' , with the intention to update people close to us with our daily events, I'm sure most would pretty much prefer to read up information about Renee more than me/my stuffs lolz. so, I try to minimise that here lolz.

Some of you have expressed bewilderment as you've not seen the show - 'Danny & Daddy', so I try to capture some short videos/pics of it and, here's the pic! I've also put up the earlier attachment of her drawing here for your easy comparison :P :

We had a mini celebration of Mother's day for my mom with buffet at her place yesterday. However, as daddy had to leave home ard 5am+ this morning, we left early last night.

I had thought to sleep-in late til 10am today but daddy had to assign me with a mission - answering the door as his eldest brother's coming over in the AM to pass over some documents, arrggghhh. I was told that he'll arrive around 8am+ and so I've set my alarm to beep at 8am. However, at 7:45am, I was woken by the phone and it was him(BIL) calling to tell me that he's outside the flat, how embarassing! The sound of door bell was blocked by the bedroom door cos we had the air-con switched on.

Cleaner arrived an hour earlier at 12pm today. I was in the middle of washing myself up(I wasn't informed of the earlier timing and it was lucky for her that I'm home, else she'd have to wait an hour outside or downstairs our flat lolz) and for 1 moment, I was still guessing if it could be that daddy had felt guilty about hving to go for his golf game early in the AM and had sent flowers but nah...(when I told him this, he defended : "aiyoh, how old liao still want flowers?"). Actually, I'm not someone who appreciate flowers delivery but I guess, an occasional receipt of them, especially from a un-romantic hubby would be nice, wouldn't it? :).

With the cleaner coming early , I had thought that we could leave home earlier too, since daddy came home around 3pm. But, with him taking the nap(even renee did not nap), it was near 5pm when we finally left home. Renee napped in the car again and she'd have had another super short one if not for the que to the carpark of Plaza Singapura - good thing I wasn't the one driving lolz. I've been wanting to go there to get some ribbons to make some hair bows for Renee, and seeing the crowd, we decided to go for an early dinner which we had at Swensons.

Though I was quick in the selection of ribbons, daddy still grumbled alittle and so, when Renee spotted the rides, I told him to stay with her there whilst I go to Daiso to get some stuffs(needed a replacement box to put in her crayons since the earlier one was damaged by him!). However, when I was done, he told me to go ahead 'shopping', but all I've got were Renee's stuffs hahaha.
When they finally met up with me, he told me that 'Renee has bought you a present' - Osim's iPamper! alamak... was it for me or more for him? lolz. Well, better than nothing I supposed :)

Oh ya, Renee's finally able to wear some of the knee length socks Elsie has given her! Took these 2 pairs out(cos they're the smallest hahaha) and she loved them both so much that she wore one on each leg and even requested to wear them out the same way on Friday lolz:

HaPpY mOtHeR's DaY!

Here's wishing all mommies - a very happy Mother's Day!

Ice cream & Babies

It seems like I've been 'rushing out' most of the time lately lolz... After my earlier post today, I received a 'tissue offer' sms frm Eileen and I 'rushed out' again, to the NTUC @Rivervale Mall lolz.

It was a quick one though and as we were gg towards Long John Silver to pack some dinner back, I was surprised to hear Renee telling me : 'mommy, don't cook, let's eat outside". These recent food 'trials' had made her more adventurous and willing to eat 'outside food' - however, mostly of what she enjoys eating now are mainly fried food, so nothing to really rejoice abt haha. Whilst waiting for our takeaway at LJS, she complained of being hungry. Geez, she juz had her milk less than an hour before we came out. Was she really hungry or merely fussing? I guess it's the latter... Good thing I've bought an extra box of cheese cubes and that helped to 'fill her up' at that moment.

It used to be only the mini ice-cream cones that she'd be willing to eat and though I've ordered a double scoop at Dome on Sunday upon her request, she didn't take much. However, she took a liking to this which I've bought earlier ;D But when I got a scolding from daddy when he learnt that I've given her ice-cream again and too much junk food... oops.
I'm a lover of this ice-cream too, in fact, I'm eating my 2nd chunk of it now hehehe

Baby, Babies and Babies ^-^
Jen has been MIA from her blog lately and though I do check back regularly for updates, something nudged me to look into it today and my! It carried good news - a little brother on the way for Jean. My heartiest congratulations to you again, Jen and...take good care of yourself ya! :)
A few of us have known each other when we all had our first kid and now most are already mothers of 2(or gg to be, like Jen ^-^) and some, 3. With these new members joining the families, meet-ups are certainly getting scarce but nevertheless, let's keep in touch with each other ya!
Decided last min yesterday to pop over to hougang mall to get some hand towels. Li met up with us at Eileen's(though she complained that I didn't go fetch her, wat to do, I don't really know e route to her place mah... hahaha).

As suggested by Eileen, I left Renee at her place and I went over to Hougang Mall myself. I walked there though, must excercise as getting fat. Nah.. not really, it's more like an excuse(though the exercise bit is quite true), it's cos I didn't wanna go into the carpark there! - so cramp and limited lots.
Bought alot of household items and snacks, good thing Li came back with us, else I guess I'll hv to make a few trips to/back from the carpark with Renee.
Wanted to try going to Plaza Singapura today as Li offered to wait for me at Eileen's, for me to pick her up hahaha but it was raining earlier and so, by the time it got sunny now, princess is already in dreamland, can't go liao. Will go another time then :D

Oh ya, few months back, I've caught the recent 'long and/or layered necklaces' craze and for one who doesn't like to put on necklaces, this is a really a 'change' :D. Here're what I've got so far:

Bought this Follie Follie's(stainless steel) onboard SQ flight. Hv changed to a longer chain(pendant's now under repair though 'cos I've dropped it a few times & it finally gave way 1 mth ago)

Originally 3 layers but now 2 'cos I find it less formal this way :)

Couldn't resist the blue beads and bought it. Even daddy find it 'not bad' too when worn, lolz:

'Drawing' by memory

Anyone whom has subscribed to SCV's kids channel would know what this drawing resembles. One day, I saw few sheets of drawing paper with this 'face' and I thought how come daddy also know about the very brief cartoon slot - 'Danny & Daddy'.
However it turned out that daddy didn't know about that show at all and it wasn't him who drew it... Conclusion : Renee had watched the show (I think the most 2-3Xs only & at very 'long interval' cos they don't come on that often) and drew them lolz :

Last night, she asked me again : "mommy, what can I do now..." but before I could answer, she replied herself : "Oh I know, I can draw draw" and these are the ones(the 1 on the right are balloons alright, but what are those on the left?):

Hands washing or play?

New dress look III

Before I forget, here's how the other 2 dresses given by Renee's 'gu gu' look:

The white minnie mouse piece looked 'long' to us when shown and we thought it might be too long for her, again. However, I guess they must be of asian cut/size specifications, cos u can see that the length of these 2 dresses aren't like those my sis's got for her(which are of european cut).

A sleepy girl

Renee had followed us out early yesterday and on our way to hougang for daddy's lunch, she napped in the car and for just less than 15mins, she stayed awake the whole day! She went with me to Compass Point after we've dropped daddy home ('cos he had work to attend to at home).

Gave her milk the minute we've arrived there and whilst going up in the elevator, she said she wanna eat whipped potato, so we went down again. However, she ignored the potato and ate the popcorn chicken heartily later and I've to make her drink alot of water, sooo heaty! And when we were walking around, instead of falling asleep on the stroller as usual, she decided to keep awake and even insisted on walking! Geez, I had to hold her hand and push the stroller with my bag on it. Kinda silly and dangerous(for my bag la - easily snatchable that way) but no choice.

With her making alot of noise and wanting to play with this and that(well, though I must give her the credit that at least she adhered to most of the "Nos" I've given her), I decided to head home since it's already 5pm+. Daddy wanted KFC's bandito pockett for dinner so I went back there and I bought a 3pcs set meal to share with Renee. She ate the drumstick and whipped potato this time but asked for milk at 8pm hahaha which of cos I gave milk bread instead.

Today
As we didn't follow daddy to Punggol Plaza yesterday morning, we went today(however, I told daddy I didn't wanna drive today 'cos I was sooo sleepy hehehe). However, it wasn't just me who hadn't got enough sleep, Renee too! She didn't want to go to bed til 10pm last night and so she was sooo grouchy when she got home just now. She didn't even wanna go for her shower and so she cried n cried her heart out in the shower after she got scared of being thrown to the pool of ants(yeah, there's a little pool of ants at the corner outside our studyroom-the ants coming from outside, dun ask me how...). Today's weather's cool but I had to take my shower, know why? - 'cos of her cryings!!! She insisted on me 'sayang-ing' her and leaned on my shoulder, hugging me, telling me that : "I cannot stop crying" hahaha. So I'm all wet! What's more - she almost dozed off on my shoulder with her hair full of shampoo!!! She's that tired hahaha.
I'm also very tired and guess might postpone going out later and go for my very own nap when my hair's dried later :)

Oh ya, daddy said "something smells very nice" when we passed by Mei Zhen Xiang stall outside C.K. Tang on sunday and he said no when I asked if he wanted any. So I bought or rather, redeemed(when I realised I could do that with my Link points) 2 packets of pork floss - 1 of crispy chunks and the other of crispy floss. Let Renee try the crispy chunks again(gave her once, long ago and she disliked it) since she's more willing to try some new food now and she loved it! lolz... Good, one more thing to add on to her food menu :)

New dress look II

Almost forgot, here's the look of the new clothes on her(the white top was 1 of those we took from my SIL - nice rite? :D):

We had our dinner at Dome scotts last evening and daddy took some really cute pics of renee sharing icecream(more like me eating hahaha, she only took less than 5%, hope she keeps it that way :D). Resisted the idea to take pics on the food we've ordered, else daddy start to lose his patience - to him, it's a silly idea to do so hahaha.

Audios

Here's more for our loyal readers' listening pleasures...

She's been watching the American Idol with us(even when she was still in my womb :p). We've stopped for a couple of years when it got alittle bored but we'll usually catch the auditions 'cos that's when the funny parts come about. The contestents on the current one were quite good, thus we're watching it again and wks ago, the day after one episode, she suddenly told me the name of the judges and I decided to record it down, knowing some may wanna hear it :) :
'I luv u...for sentimental reasons'
I teased her recently with this song and she loved it hahaha:

A nice gathering

It was a nice get together at daddy's sis' last evening and the kids sure had a great time :)

The main purpose of this gathering was for us to 'meet' the 2nd newborn son of daddy's 2nd bro. He was such a cute baby, making many facial expressions at just 6 wks and weighing at 4.5kgs. It wasn't really a 'full month' celebration but everyone started giving the baby boy red packets after they saw me passing a present to the mother hahaha. I hope they're 'thanking me' since this matter must be slipped outta everyone's mind and with that gesture, it's a 'gentle reminder' :)

Again Renee's little cousin acted like she's the older kid, looking after/protecting her lolz... so cute. And also, becos she's bigger in size, my SIL wanted me to bring home some of her clothes for Renee. My gentle declination with the reason that she's already got tons of new clothes wasn't quite accepted ;p and I took 2 dresses and 1 top(they're quite nice actually). Shall put up the pic when she's worn them(in case someone were to comment "how to tell nice or not when not worn yet" again hahaha).

Oh yeah, about the drive. It was the longest drive(to & fro choa chu kang) for me last night and on the way, daddy was explaining to me : "ok, u see ar, here's TPE, BKE, and..." dunno what other E, E lah, aiyoh, how to remember, not forgetting I'm one with route direction blindness! However, overall it was better I supposed, as daddy declared that I'm ready to go on solo when we got home - what he's forgotten was that I'm still direction blind hahaha.
