No more 'gai gai' after school?

Renee didn't drink her water in school today but she made up for it by drinking up half of it in the car, whilst eating her 2 slices of milk bread. When she finished the 2nd half of it at home, she quickly asked for her stars hahaha.
Since the day we came back from our Thailand trip, Renee's also got into this habit of sleeping on my lap or the cushion on the sofa every night(wasted my earlier efforts), and I'll have to carry her to her bed when she's deep in dreamland. But as I've also been hving this backache for the past few days(which worsened today), so I told her that I won't be able to carry her to bed as usual and asked her to go to her bed to sleep on her own like before and much to my surprise, she readily agreed. And when she asked for bread after her milk, I 'reminded' her about it and her promise that she'll go to bed on her own, without crying and she nodded.
However, this surprise didn't last long 'cos when bed-time finally came, she said she didn't want to and quickly lied down on the sofa cushion. We managed to get her to take her medicine, brush her teeth and pee, but no matter how we persuade her, she just won't relent and go to her bed! Then daddy went on to explain to her about 'keeping promise' and that "if you don't keep to your promise when you asked for bread, mommy will also not keep to her promise of bringing you to go gai gai" but that, still didn't work...
Last straw - I ordered her to go to bed and she went into the room in tears. In the end, I have to carry her, on her bed for a short while to calm her down before I lay her back down to her bed/pillow. She then asked for her daddy to sleep in the room also, which of 'cos didn't happen and not necessary anymore as she fell asleep thereafter hahaha.
When she was in my arms, I took the opportunity to remind her that we won't be going 'gai gai' after school anymore since she didn't keep to her promise and she nodded her consent(not sure if she'll still remember, but I'll make sure to remind her). I then told daddy about it and suggested to him that perhaps we'd buy her 'choice food' on Friday(for dinner), and let her begin her very first 'star reward card' exchange at home(which I feel, might even have a better impact. So, 1 stone hit 2 birds hahaha) and with that, we'll also have to tell her that I'll only resume bringing her to go 'gai gai' when she's learnt to go to bed on her own - daddy fully agreed.
