It is a new week again and we've had a 'busy' weekend...
We arrrived at the Palm Resort after 4pm as there was a slight jam at the causeway and almost didn't have a room to stay in! I've told daddy much earlier to make the booking but as usual, based on his not-so-jun instinct, he said that there's no need for that since there usually aren't many people who would stay in(more to just go there for the golf games/recreations) but he was sooo wrong! There was some event for the UOB sales team and the rooms were almost fully taken up! Luckily, we still managed to get one and with a king-sized bed :)
After our dinner, there wasn't much things for us to do when daddy left to meet his clients to meet up with his clients but Renee still slept late at around 11pm. However, she didn't have a good sleep and was awaken a few times by the noise that the UOB staff was making... It was when they were still as rowdy at past 2am, that I decided to seek the front desk's help. These people, upon being informed, still took their own sweet time to disperse and I can hear them grumbling about it. I wondered how they could ever think of loitering around the corridors of hotel rooms and made sooo much noise outside? How inconsiderate!(or brainless? as daddy commented)
We woke up super early the next day to have breakfast with daddy and when he left for his golf game(tee off at 7am), I took Renee for a walk around the pool area. She was 'afraid' of the cool water but wanted to get inside, in her swimsuit, hahaha! Good thing daddy had suggested going for a dip just before we left home and I managed to pack in her swimsuit and floats.
As we were walking back to the room to get her changed, I warned her about the cold waters and that she's not to get her upper body wet(since she's not really swimming) and we'll only stay for a while but guess what she said? She replied : "nevermind, I wear the green colour one after I come up - referring to the green clr robe my sis passed to me hahaha". The baby pool there was of a 'perfect' height for her to play in and she really enjoyed herself :D. After spending about an hour plus in the pool, I told Renee we'll need to get back for her shower and rest(which she claimed she didn't need but knocked out in 10secs hahaha).
My car had a good wash(yeah, drove my car in, as we didn't dare to go in, in daddy's car), it rained when we left the custom check point! But, the car's still clean, heee.
Both daddy and I were sooo tired when we got back, and after a quick unpacking of bags, abit of laundry, I decided to also take a short nap. Our little darling was however still actively playing with her toys whilst we both were napping.
I woke up after a 1/2 hour nap and cooked Renee's meal. We left home at 7pm, heading to the temple @ Jurong for their annual celebration dinner. There were about 500 tables occupied and the food served were as usual-good! Daddy was given 7 tables for the bid he's made last year but as there were'nt enough people we could get on time to join us, daddy told them we'll just take one table. Seems like we might be getting a few tables for next year and Jurong's abit too far for most of my family members, so we'll see if anyone would like to join us then.
It was already past midnight when we got home after sending my FIL back and Renee, whom had fallen asleep in the car(I've teasingly told her not to fall asleep in her car seat and she had 'chased' me impatiently a few times whilst I'm driving, to get home soon - so this is the reason hahaha), cried when I carried her up from the seat. She was awake but cranky and very manja when we got home and said she didn't want to go to the school today as she 'want to rest at home' hahaha... so here she is, now at home :)
Forgiving...
We went to pick daddy's sister up on our way to the dinner(together with her maid, youngest daughter xuen le and 2nd son xuen tin) and Renee was still sleeping soundly when they got into the car. However, a little teasing from them woke her up and I could hear her 'laughing' with them. She was still enjoying herself with her cousin Xuen Le at the dinner but things got a little 'heat-up' when XL began to snatch her chopsticks, bowl, pulled her hair and pinched her cheek & chin(the latter two weren't noticed by daddy, else he'll be sooo hearached and also be caught in a dilemna lolz). I kept telling XL gently, to play nicely but she didn't quite listened...I guess later, my SIL was abit upset since her maid, being new, wasn't really helping her(my SIL said she's also just signed XL up with Kinderland pre-n, although she's already registered to a church school for nursery next year, 'cos her new maid can't handle XL).
Renee was able to defend gently when it comes to the snatching(during one of the snatches, I told her to let go of her chopsticks, for fear that she might hurt herself but she wouldn't) but at the point when her cheek was pinched, she turned to me and told me sooo pitifully : "mommy, xuen le mei mei pinched my cheek" and almost sobbed... However, she didn't cry and only asked me to carry her. I sayang-ed her and spoke to XL again to play nicely and don't pinch Renee...XL likes to be 'jie jie' so when she heard us telling her that she couldn't do this/that to 'jie jie', she wasn't happy :D. In the end, my SIL scolded her and she defied by trying to 'hit' back(she had earlier tried to hit my hand I think, can't rem where, when I jokingly told her 'cannot do this')and that's when daddy, daddy's elder brother and father told her 'cannot do that', that she burst into tears.
It's really not easy to be parents these days...
This morning, I sorta recounted the incident to Renee(though I tried to make it sound as 'lightly' as possible) and to my pleasant surprise, she didn't hold it against her cousin at all and said she loves her, I'm glad... :)
