In the past, Renee will ask for her daddy the moment she wakes up but she stopped since she's started her pre-nursery last week(plus he's been around when she woke up then), and perhaps she remembered last night's episode, so she also did not ask for him today :) She even told me that "papa's working far far away" when I asked her where's he...
After her shower this noon, I told her to go sit on the stool and have her lunch(yeah, we've recently relented to her eating some of her meals at the coffee table, cos she'll better feed herself there - maybe she felt less restrained as compared to sitting on the high chair at the dining table. But when I came out of the room, I saw her sitting on the sofa so I asked : "Renee, why are you sitting on the sofa, didn't I tell u to go sit on your stool and eat your food?"
Her reply : "I waiting for mommy, that's why I sitting on the sofa" (with the expression like 'aiyah')
Wah biang...
Then I turned on the disney movie 'Ratatouille' and told her the title and she went "why" - she simply loves to ask this question and there are occasions esp like this when I really dunno how to give her a proper/correct answer! So, today I decided to tease her and pretended to ask her for her name and when she replied, I asked her "Why" hahaha... I've thought that I've got her this time, but she's even faster, she replied "don't ask". Kids really learn fast.
Had wanted to stay home today but decided to just go to my mom's when my eldest sis asked if I wanted a lift. And when Renee learnt that we'll be taking her aunty's car, she asked "mommy, aunty ellen's car got car seat?" I told her No and she went on "papa got 2 cars, one got car seat, one don't have". Aiyoh, as if I don't know! Sometimes she can be so lor sor hahaha.
And just now, she was sad when her aunts, Elsie and Lili left our place and when I told her to brush her teeth, she said she didn't want to go to sleep yet. I told her to just rest on my lap first and when she did that, I tried to call her daddy but he didn't pick up. She was looking at me whilst I was making the phone call and gave me the questioning look when I put the telephone down. I told her that daddy didn't pick up, she pouted and so I told her I'll scold him for her, she nodded. Then I noted that she started to day-dream and was sucking her thumb! She must be missing her daddy so much this time that she had re-picked up her thumb sucking habit unconsciously(she had voluntarily stopped this habit when she was about to turn 3, 'cos I've casually told her before that she shouldn't be doing that anymore when she's turned 3). I asked her gently(otherwise she might think that I'm chiding her) why is she sucking her thumb now, she replied that she's 2 years old - hahaha, that's a good indirect answer lolz.
Wonder how daddy will feel if he knows that she's so sad missing him.....
