When daddy came back from breakfast, I told him that perhaps we should bring her to the doc first since our choice Doctor is only available til 4pm today and I'm not sure if I'm able to bring her myself after her school since I'm not well myself(and also that he'll be gg away soon). He wasn't quite happy as he was doing some work but he conceded. We rushed to the clinic but the Doctor we requested for was busy with a report so daddy told me over the phone not to wait and we sent her to school.
Upon arrival at the school, she again, forgot abt me almost immediately and ran into the class :(
When I picked her up, I noticed that she's taken off her sweater and again, she told me that she ate the food in school but didn't finish... So, like yesterday, I gave her the piece of milk bread which I've brought along(as standby, in case she's hungry) and whilst eating in the train, she told me that the right side of her tummy hurts. I called daddy to inform him about this and told him that I might wanna just wanna bring her to the doc before heading home. At the doc's, her condition was diagnosed as tummy flu which I had earlier suspected, so I quickly phoned daddy and told him and he agreed that we'll have to bring her to the chinese physician if so, since western medication won't do any help in this area but he also asked me if tummy flu is the same as gastric flu. For that moment, as I wasn't feeling well, it didn't cross my mind that the said illness wld usually be accompanied by vomitting/fever...
The physician diagnosed her case as being heaty(very heaty) and had also caught a cold(which will easily happen when the child's heaty and the weather's 'cold') and he also explained about the symptoms of gastric flu(yeah, blurr me, esp when I'm one who's got history bad gastric condition...). Upon my query, he also further explained on why her tummy wld hurt but I'm still in a blurry mode now, so I don't know how to put them into words here now... :{
We were really glad that we've brought her to him 'cos imagine if we've given her the medications when she's not hving the illness?! Geez... and western medications/drugs are more harmful to our body as compared to chinese herbs. *phew*
Oh, it's a good thing that I went with Renee to school today as when the English teacher , Mrs Jacob saw me, she handed these to me(daddy still asked why I'm taking photos of these, esp when I don't feel good. Well, it's for memory's sake and if I don't do it, who will?) :
This book is to be placed in her school bag everyday(I guess it's for occasions/times when the parents and teacher don't meet or no time to talk?) - good idea. Oh, the back cover showed that there're 4 different colours of this book, for different level : Pre-nursery, Nursery, K1 and K2
The Sketch Book - Renee was just complaining to me yesterday about not being able to bring her artwork home(unlike GUG where she get to bring her artwork home)
The Portfolio - this is for the school to present to the parents the records of her progress, etc. at the end of each term and we're to bring it back each time the child goes back on the new term(if u wish to know what each section of this portfolio is about, click onto each 'page' for easy reading)
The Music book and CD - these I'm told to leave at home, so that I can play the CD and enjoy the songs with her(and also for parents to know what songs they've learnt in the school)
Menu for the 2nd half of current term and short note from the main teacher to parents, with info like the names of the people who would be attending to your children in the class
After our visit to the chinese physician, we headed to the airport as I sign an indemnity form at the SQ's ticketing counter 'cos I've purchased the tickets for daddy's coming trip online with my credit card. Renee's been feeling very 'hong sim' lately and so she's very happy to be there :) and then I think she kinda remembered our trips and she asked her daddy : "why nene no take aeroplane?" hahaha, good one and I took the opportunity and get her to ask her daddy when he's going to bring her on a holiday :D
