I have been wondering for the past week if we've dragged her admission for too long 'cos she seemed to have lost a little interest in going to the 'new' school - lately when I told her about going to sch, her response wasn't as enthusiastic as before. And yesterday, my SIL told me that Xuan Le, Renee's younger cousin, a very friendly and outgoing child, had nightmares and refused to go to her school recently and they've pulled her out from the school, so that did kinda worry me a little...
This morning, I told Renee again that she'll be going to school and her response was just "ok", not the usual "YEAH!". However, her enthusiasiam returned when she saw her school uniform :)
She even urged her daddy to drive faster whilst we were on the way and when he speed up, she went "good driving, papa", hahaha. When we were near the school(before the U-turn to the school's premise) waiting for te traffic light to turn green, she told her daddy to park the car then and there, so she can get to the school! Her excitement comforted us...
After we've made the payment for this term's fees, we were shown the assembly area where she's supposed to wait for the earlier class to be dismissed. Later in the class, another other girl came in with her daddy and we noted that she's having the same water tumbler as Renee hahaha and the class aunty told the father to write down the girl's name on her bottle. So I just briefly tell Renee to watch out for the correct one - hope she won't drink from the wrong one hahaha.
The english teacher told me that the orientation period is only 5 days and after that, no parents would be allowed in the class area but we decided to leave(without me staying around the school premise) when she was seated with the rest of the classmates. We stood outside the class and watched her from the window and just as we were about to leave, she turned and waved at us with a wide smile! That again, set my worry even further aside...
As we were leaving the carpark, I suddenly saw her out in the playground area and realised that the teachers/aunty had brought the kids out to play! I wanted to take some shots and daddy excitedly agreed hahaha. There's a play house at the playground and that was the first thing Renee went to. Another girl tried to follow her but the chinese teacher brought them back to the slide hahaha. After Renee's had her turn at the slide, she went back to the 'house' and we can hear her saying 'hello' a few times to the teachers from there hahaha. About a minute later, I guess she must have felt lonely in the 'house', came out and 'jio-ed' some of her classmates to the 'house' also! hahaha, she messed up the routine hahaha.
When we first arrived at the waiting/admin room this morning
Can't wait to bring her back later, I'm beginning to feel the 'emptiness' at home without her around...
