5th day at school - Part II

Feeling super goggy when I went to pick Renee up - probably due to the cough syrup I took. Daddy drove me to her school but as we were 20 mins early and he can't wait, so he asked me to bring her home myself(he must have trusted me so well that I'll die die bring Renee home safely even if I'm so damn goggy hahaha). I brought her home straight away today.

Whilst waiting for Renee's class to end, I saw some older kids coming down from the spiral stairs outside and when asked, the administrator told me that there are some more classrooms(K2) upstairs...In fact, I had thought earlier that those classrooms on the upper level - one level up from where Renee's classroom is, are for the K2 classes. I told her what I have assumed and she explained that 'this' area is for pre-nursery to K1 and I learnt that the classrooms at the connecting building are also air-conditioned(I was hoping that it's not but I guess I'll start to appreciate the 'air-con' in the next coming months hahaha).

Besides the classrooms at the other building, there is also a parking bay for strollers/prams and I'm so glad to see it cos I was telling daddy the other day when I saw so many children being ferried back in strollers, that perhaps on those days when I need to bring Renee out straight after school, we could leave her stroller there so I can just let her sit on it when I pick her up and she can slp on it while I'm still out.

The school premise is actually surrounded by a few other educational/childcare facilities. Right opposite Kinderland, there's Elfa childcare centre that also provides kindergarten services for the kids under their care and I think there's one Chinese language school at the other building.

I can't help noticing the Long Service award by MCYS that they've hung up on the wall and so I finally asked the administrator how long has this centre been operating. She replied that this particular centre was only abt 2 years but it's a re-location(from Hougang and now it's only childcare services there).

When Mrs Jacob led Renee to me at the waiting area, she informed me that there shall be no lessons on next Tuesday as it will be a teacher and parent communication day and since Renee is so new to the school, there's nothing much for her to feedback so if I don't have anything to talk to the teacher(s) about, then we don't have to bring Renee to school...hmmm, shopping day? hehehe
Later I found a note(in the teacher-parent comm book placed in her backpack), informing all parents that the school will be closed from 8 March for the 1 week schools' holidays.

The minuted she sat down in the MRT train, she immediately asked for her milk bread (woah, so auto liao now, perhaps I should stop giving her this so that she'll eat more in the school? I doubt so...). Then, along the way for our transfer to the LRT platform, the view of Compass Pt came to sight and she said that she wanted to go there, aiyoh! I have to settle her down, tell her that I'm really unwell before she's willing to accept that she's going home straight...

When we reached the cluster of flats, near the 'open garden', she complained that her legs' are tired and wanted to be carried(same demand, at the same area, for the past few days already but hey, today no shopping leh). I have no choice but to carry her 'cos if I don't, she'll keep complaining, stand there and refuse to move...and I'll have to persuade her which is something I didn't have the energy for today.

When we got home, she told me that she wanted to watch TV when I passed her the milk(cos she's pretty deprived of it these 5 days) and she fussed when I told her that she has to go take her nap first. She said that she's not sleepy nor tired but guess what? She fell soundly asleep within the 10mins after I made her go for her nap.

However, prior to her nap, she had this 'request' :
Renee : "mommy, I want to sleep on the new mattress"
Mommy : "oh why?" (actually already preparing it)
Renee : "because I smelly"

hahaha. Actually she didn't smell 'cos her classro0m is air-conditioned, but kids can really remember things...

Daddy got home ard 5pm without telling me so, and since I didn't prepare Renee's food earlier(I wanted her to have home-cooked food as much as possible especially now that she's having one miserable meal in school hahaha) thus we decided to stay home for dinner so as not to rush Renee and/or myself. Text my gf, Vicky to see if she's working late today so that we can drive to the airport and get her to drive me and renee back hahaha. At first she replied that she's not working late but later when she knocked off work, she text me and offered to be our taxi service haha, so nice... Thought of taking up her offer as we can have a little chat when we get back but later felt that it'll be too late for Renee and it might also leave us not much time to chat as vicky will have to meet her bf at ard 1 or 2am... So we can only say goodbye to daddy from home.

When it was time for daddy to leave for the airport, Renee didn't want to let him go... she insisted on going with him and thinking that he'll surely relent, she confidently told him "I follow you to work, mommy cry, hahaha" - see how mischievious she is! But later when she realised that her daddy is really going 'far away' to work, she cried.....and kept waving to him at the door. Even blew him kisses voluntarily whilst looking very sad and answered her daddy "I love you" but I doubt her daddy heard it...

As I'm closing the door after daddy's out of our sight, she said : "only 2 persons now, no more 3, I want 3 persons - papa, mommy and Renee" and started to tear, Awww....
She refused to go to sleep also, even though it's already 11:30pm, way past her bedtime. So, seeing that she's so sad, I allowed her to sleep on my lap...which she did, in the next 15mins :)
