Last nite, I suddenly recalled that we've missed Eileen's birthday and to show our appreciation of her help all these while, we decided to get her a belated birthday cake(to be bought by Renee of cos) and I found this long un-used card which came just in handy!
I was still coughing(in the early morning and late night but it's not 'cold cough' as what those EYS' saleslady would usually predict...) and I don't see Renee responding as well to the phlegm clearing medicine so I thought I should bring her back to the physician and get myself checked at the same time(turned out that Renee's recent runny nose hasn't fully cleared up, that's why the response to the med is slow).
Something bugged my mind and since daddy was home and didn't seem to be very busy, I asked if he wanted to take us there(I was feeling a little giddy also) but he said he needed to do banking later, so I quickly went to take a short nap after Renee's taken her lunch. Felt better after the nap and daddy went out as I was getting both of us ready.
The odd feeling that I had, turned out to be the change of route to the physician's! There had been some road works along Lornie flyover and it's now completed! So, the usual route that we took, now leads us to, ermmm, I don't know where hahaha. I was shocked the minute I went up to the flyover as I knew then, that I had lost the way and the heavy rain wasn't quite helping. Phoned daddy up and he told me to make a U-turn at Farrer road - Halo? I don't even know where I was, how was I going to find Farrer Road? lolz.
In the end, I managed to figure out somehow(the few calls made to him was of not much help but more to 'assure' myself) and managed to make a U-turn at Upper Serangoon Road, *phew*!
I had told Renee not to fall asleep as she would need a neck support to sleep in this high back booster and she'd pushed it away. However, due to the 'lost of way' and lulled by the motion, she gave in...
The whole time, I was more angry than panicky, 'cos this wouldn't happen if only daddy had aceded to my request!(actually, come to think of it, it was quite an experience heee, pls dun tell daddy...)
Renee had been very excited about giving her Aunty PC the belated birthday card and cake. She had said "3", when I asked how much she would like to have dug out from her coin bank(for the cake) and when we told her that it's not enough she went on and on, til 7 which I said should be ok but she later insisted on 8 hahaha.
On the way to the physician's, she suddenly called out : "oh mommy, we forgot about the money!" and when I told her that I've got it in my bag, she let out a "Phew" and brushed her forehead with the back of her tiny hand lolz.
Phoned Eileen but not answered. She later replied my sms that she's tired and wanted to take a nap, so could we go another day(she didn't know the purpose of our visit). I had thought maybe I could just grab a cake from Hougang Mall and pass it to my nephew and leave, but the rain got heavier and I changed my mind...It's not gonna be 'easy'/convenient for Renee when it's pouring hard...
Text daddy that her daughter's not very happy to have missed the 'cake presenting' moment and he's to bring her out for dinner and on that, he relented hahaha. I rushed back to cook her dinner and she finally was soothed when she heard that we'd be dining out.
Daddy suggested dining at the japanese restaurant at Hougang Mall and that gave Renee the opportunity to carry out the 'act'! and she was very very happy :D.
This is the car and what she drew inside :
I let her hold the small box of cake + the card(whilst I held on to the toilet paper roll that's got her drawings and she's had insisted on giving to her aunt), so she can present to her aunty pc at the door('cos daddy had wanted to go back immediately) but Renee's wish to go in must have made daddy changed his mind and so when he called to say : "can let her go in and play a while", the 'sad' look on her face changed immediately and she hurried in - Eileen said she 'cheong' inside hahaha. At the door, she even wished her aunt "Happy Belated Birthday" instead of the "Happy Birthday" that she had wanted to initially... nice job!
Photos had been 'blurred' on purpose...
We are supposed to go for a night stay at the Palm Resort tomorrow(daddy has been wanting us to go along and had planned this week since it's the school holidays) but it has been raining heavily for the past few days and we are not sure if it might be a wasted trip. Shall see how things go...
