Is It Fairy Tale Again?

Renee(whilst changing to her choice dress) : "mommy, is it fairy tale again today?"

Mommy :"no,... darling, I've told you that it's not gonna be the speech & drama but the english class right?".

Renee : "oh ya, ok"

Mommy : "so how? u still wanna go?"

Renee : "ya, I want to go"

It's her 1st day with Lorna Whiston's K1 english enrichment(3rd Term) today and Renee's really looking forward to it but, in her excitement, she's forgotten that it's not her favourite S&D class, :).

Since the school re-opened, we've been picking Renee up late - 1st, adhereing to her request so she could have more time to play with her friends at school, 2nd, less traffic at the school compound.

It was pouring hard when we were getting ready, so it's a good thing hubby's free to take us there. I had thought that Renee might be the last student to arrive as we were delayed by the traffic jam but she wasn't and when a girl whom she had befriended during her June holiday S & D class went into her class, she turned to face me and pointed the girl out to me excitedly, haha. But they've both forgotten each other's names and again, I have to remind her that it's important to introduce herself and ask for the other party's name if she wants to befriend the person. Let's just hope she'd make a habit of doing that in the future...

Forgotten my book, I was left to wander around the mall whilst waiting for her and that ended me with these, heee. Actually, I've been on the lookout for such white tops to wear with her dresses with 'over-sized' armhole and so when I saw this on sale, I grabbed 2(1 of a bigger size to standby, haha). And then I saw this pink fairy-winged tank top, I couldn't resist the green with pink striped one and got the latter also, but in a bigger size as well, hehehe. Must remember to bring my book along the next lessons so I won't go spending money again, lolz.

At the sight of me waiting for her when the class ended, Renee was smiling and happily carrying the school's backpack, which unfortunately doesn't quite go with her girly dress(told her to dress less girly the next lessons) lolz.

Hubby wanted to pick us up and whilst waiting for him, to Renee's joy, we roamed the toysrus store, :). Renee usually only likes to sit on the rides without actually riding them(she doesn't want us to insert the coins even if we offered) but today, she's gotten 3 free rounds on the 'merry-go-round' rides becos the other kids mommies felt it 'worthwhile' since the seats are filled(Some kids even just stood on. At 1 point, a child was just standing beside the seat, a caucasian mom quickly parked her toddler girl on the seat beside him, haha). And by the time we got home after our dinner at Swensons, it was already 7:30pm and I was almost dead beat. With only a short nap on the way to the school, Renee was also very tired and even yawned during shower, hahaha, But that didn't deter her from eating her slice of milk bread and having the last few rounds of the snake&ladder game with her papa, :)

From today's experience, going to this class seemed kinda tedious for the both of us but as we've already paid for the full term, I supposed I'd now have to see how it goes for the next few weeks and decide in a month's time.(a mth's notice is required for withdrawal for the return of the deposit - this is why I sooo dislike schools collecting deposits, I really dun understand why they need to do that since it's just either we like it or not, and they'll surely know if we'd be continuing when it's payment time right...)

Since hubby might be able to ferry us to and fro for this class, I had thought that perhaps the later timing, 4-6pm might be a better choice but after today's 'trial' and since there might be unforseeable hiccups in this arrangement, I told him that I'd rather stick to the 2-4 and go back by cab ourselves so we could be home earlier(for her to have a proper meal, do a short practice and rest/play awhile before going to bed). We could stay abit later at the mall, on the few occasions when the next day's a non-school day. With that, he asked about tomorrow's arts class and when I told him that I could take a cab there, he asked if I would drive there and my answer's "no, I don't want to drive there and seeing the traffic just now, I don't think I wanna drive here either". He was quiet when he heard this. Maybe he was thinking of getting another vehicle for me to ferry Renee around? Arrrhhhh, hmmmm, delimma again for me, hahaha. Love the convenience, but totally dislike the stress of driving in heavy traffic area/unfamiliar routes esp. when I'd be so tired from waking up early and all the rush. Anyway, will see how things go in this department again, :).

*How Renee's taking to today's class? She loved it! The 1st thing she told me was "mommy, I really enjoyed the class" and she even spoke with a caucasian accent right after the lesson and when I asked her why she's doing it stronger this time('cos I've heard that she's already abit influenced by such foreign accent), she said she liked the sound of it and her other friends(some are foreigners/Eurasians) in the class are also speaking the same way like the teachers, lolz.
