Renee was still active yesterday till last night when the lethargy seems to have kicked-in! Finally I see a 'sick' her, sleeping & sleeping and...more cranky - however, sleep is good 'cos one recovers better when his/her body is well rested.
After pasting a note to daddy on our toilet mirror, I went to bed with her ard 2am. However, with a child who's sick and feeling it, sleeping besides you, it is almost guaranteed that you won't have a good sleep. Thank goodness, daddy helped out when she woke up at 6am, requesting to pass urine and a drink of water and when she woke up ard 8am asking for milk, he acceded to her request...
He then took her temperature and seeing that it's still 40degrees, he told me that we'll(his excuse is she doesn't want to go with him alone) have to bring her to the PD's and I was like huh?, then what about my refresher session? He said he'll send me there later, erh ok, so I quickly rushed to get myself ready and as we're about to leave home, Renee insisted of being changed to her 'outing' apparels hahaha.
There were already quite a number of patients(walk-ins, so that means they're sick) waiting for the PD even though we've arrived at the clinic at 9:05am- which opens at 9am! When daddy has parked the car and came to the clinic, I reminded him that there's no way I can wait with Renee for the PD and still be on time for my practice and he then suggested breakfast and... I take the trains! Ok, better than not being able to go at all, right?
When we're having our Mcdonald's breakfast, Renee asked for my margarine(I used to like eating butter cubes when I was young too) and I went to get a few more for her hehehe.
She cried when I was leaving, even though I've prep-ed her about me gg for the practice earlier and daddy even asked why Renee seemed to be more sticky to me nowdays - halo, was it only nowadays??? Well, simple, bring her out more often and soon she'll get accustomed to daddy bringing her out too!
As I was abit earlier, I went to the CDC's office to make my cancellation of the other 2 sessions and signed a refund request form which means - should I wish to take up further refresher sessions, I'll hv to pay the enrollment fee again. Ermmm, ok... signed!
Today's practice turned out to be abit more stressful that I've thought! Geez, parking - a big big chore!!! Haiz.
But then again, the instructor said that no matter how many times I come for practice on this, it still won't help very much as I'll still need to get use to my own vehicle. I agree too but still, his pointers are very useful and I must try my very best to remember how to use them when I'm practicing/parking on my own! Stressed...
Again, the instructor was kind to drop me off at my block even though we weren't 'on the way' and had already hit the 'end of lesson' time! Very much appreciated, especially when my child isn't well and I'll have to rush home.
Renee began to sob the first thing she saw me walking through the door. Daddy told me that she's alot better after her nap and has been asking for me. At the clinic, the PD had asked "huh, why she's back with fever?" Yeah, good question and Daddy, based on my earlier sms to him(asking if taking the flu jab will help), told her that perhaps it's due to her attending school. This visit cost S$82.00 and diagnosis : fever and the bite marks are normal mosquito bites...
Renee dozed off on our bed not long after I got home and feeling abit unwell myself, I took my temp and it showed 38degrees. Quickly cooked myself some noodles, took 2 tablets of paracetamol and went to nap with Renee after feeding her lunch.
Oh ya, the PD's answer to my query is - yes, bring her back for the jab when she's recovered, erh erh erh, not so fast... First, I'll need to find out how helpful will this jab be before I set her off for it. Too many preventive immunisations may not mean a good thing to a young body. Also, will it make her body weaker/prone to flu when the 'drug' wear off after a year?
Oh, Renee has just woken up from her nap and she's her jolly old self again. Hurray! :)
