An 'Eventful' Saturday

The Wetting

Hving gone to bed only after 2am, it was a dread when suddenly Renee came to me @4:45am, telling me that she's wet her bed and boy, did she wake me up! This is her 1st bed wetting since I've toilet trained her 2 days after she turned 2yo.

Even during her earlier stage of toilet training, when I've first removed her diapers at bedtime, she would wake up to pass urine, although there were a couple of occasions when she did wet the edge of her mattress, but that was because she couldn't get out of her bed fast enough and the wettings were very minimal. This morning's was just a tad more...

The minute I heard her, I quickly pulled the cover and protector out of the mattress but there was already a small wet patch, haiz... I sprayed germ killer on it and hubby helped to put up the mattress for airing. Then I have to wash her pj pants, soak the mattress cover, protector and what the h**k, I decided to includ the blanket as well, hahaha. So for the rest of the 'night', she slept with us and had gone to pass urine again, for fear of wetting ours as well, poor girl(I had to assure her that it's ok before she wiped the sad look off her face and fall asleep).... She told me that she had thought she was already sitting on the toilet bowl and thus she passed urine, lolz - a dream?

Art Class Registration

A couple of hours later, my alarm beeped and I quickly got myself ready before waking hubby and Renee up. Today's the day for the resistration of Renee's entry to NAFA's Kinderart Classes. I've heard and read about the long que but I've not really expected that there are indeed people who would actually go at 6am* just to que for a preferred slot! We arrived at around 9am(regn starts frm 9am to 3pm) and one could almost faint just looking at the que! It was extremely long and guess the que no on our application form... - 386. There, u can imagine just how many people were there and to cater for the overwhelming responses, especially for the P1 classes(imagine how much worser the que's gonna be if this registration is not strictly by mailing list only), they have to open up late evening classes(7:30-9pm) and for the lower level, they have extended the classes to be held at NAFA Kindergarten @ East Coast - which is where we've chosen our slot.

*I later read that the 1st person on que went at 4am!

Earlier, whilst we were walking to join the que, I thought I saw a mommy of another Renee's ex GUG playmates and when we got to the registration waiting room, she came to sit beside us with her friend. It was her indeed, :) and we managed to chat and catch up abit. Hopefully she could bring Tisha to join our xmas meet up with Sharmaine + Shuen.

So, hurray, our darling would finally be having her 1st drawing class on the 9th January, 2010.

The Wedding Dinner
It was already past 2pm by the time we got home and it was a good thing that we'd decided on a pack home lunch instead of eating out. That saved us some time for a quick nap and at 5pm, I awoke to rush over my shower and cooked Renee's dinner whilst hubby showered Renee.

At around 7:30pm, we arrived at Amara Santuary Resort Sentosa and Renee's cousins were already there, all except for Xuan Le meimei 'cos her family had gone on a holiday. At the reception, Renee was given a large Lollipop, but when she saw her cousin's pink one, she requested for a change and her cousin helped her, hahaha. . Renee was actually looking forward to see XL this evening but Yu jie jie had warmly 'welcomed' her the minute we got there and so they became the best of friends, hahaha.

Throughout the evening, I noticed that the hired photographer had taken some shots of Renee and I was very tempted to ask if he could email them to me but didn't, heee. Actually, those relatives helping out with their cameras, had also taking pics of Renee, arrrgghhh, how I wish I could really get hold of the photos!
