I've been looking around for bands to wear with the solitaire but hvn't been fruitful in my search, they mostly don't sit in nicely with my ring or the diamonds are not of the right size - either too big or too small. Thought of having the ring re-made but I prefer mobility of the 'accompaniments' so I could also wear them on their own and there's no urgency in getting them, I didn't really bother.
On my birthday, whilst browsing around for a gift, daddy remembered that I've been looking for the rings and told me to try the various jewellers. We sorta found a pair, shaped/curved to fit around a solitaire but, to wear on its own, it doesn't look good, so I told daddy to forget about it.
Few days later, I suddenly remembered the jellewery retailers' supplier my sis knew and we popped over to her factory cum showroom to take a look. I finally found what I wanted! Even daddy agreed that it's just nice - a set of triple diamond rings and, in my size!. But, they came in 3 tone gold - Rose, White and Yellow and I only wanted them in white, so we have to custom order.
Much earlier, I've given her some of my loose stones and 2 rings to be re-made into another ring but after waited sooooo long for a design, I finally gave up and took the already dismantled(by them) rings back. That same day, I brought them along and this time round, I gave her an idea of what I wanted, instead of waiting for them to come up with a design. Even so, it still took quite a while for these rings to be ready(business for them must be really booming) and I'm glad that I'm finally able to collect them tomorrow 'cos to be honest, after all these weeks of waiting, I've almost forgotten that I've actually got a birthday gift!
The thing about giving these jewellers your design/idea is that, you risked them duplicating it for the mass market and sure enough, when I was out with Renee, I saw a similiar but simpler one at the showcase of 1 of the jellewery retailers at the mall! Mine's a mixture of diamonds/rubies and unless they really do up exactly like mine, else I'd still have a rare piece(good thing also that it wasn't something of a great idea, else I would feel very 'banged', hahaha).
